This decision has been implemented in coordination with RSMCs/TCWCs at regional level first through Technical Coordinating Meeting (TCM) of TC RSMCs/TCWCs. Some RSMCs have developed region specific impact-based tropical cyclone forecasting products, which were presented during annual/biennial sessions of the respective regional tropical cyclone bodies. However, at global level, this work has been delayed, and will continue to move forward after a relevant subsidiary

Development of the impact-based tropical cyclone forecasting products requires a dedicated expert team, which will identify and provide technical specifications for those products. It is expected that such a team will be established soon. And implementation of this Decision will continue thereafter.1

1 Note: Under the new WMO governance structure after reform, management of the global part of the TCP has changed significantly and is still evolving into an appropriate track to move forward.
