available for use– Reliability: The percentage a site / service is

available for use within its schedule

• Note: The IT contact person has the possibility to “repaint” availabilities/reliabilities in case e.g. the site was not responsible for a failed probe

Nagios

• Info in SUM currently fed from SAM/Nagios, https://sam-lhcb-prod.cern.ch/nagios/– But we can feed anything we like, e.g. LHCb SAM probe

results, other• Nagios probes– Current: Worker nodes, Storage (SRM), LFC, – To Come: HTTP/WEBDAV, xroot

• Currently we use it to check T0/1 site availabilities– A good way to interact with certain sites

More Monitoring

• perfSonar– Network monitoring between sites on latency and throughput– Work ongoing to extract the information and make it available

to LHCb• WLCG transfer dashboard (currently in preprod)

– http://dashb-wlcg-transfers-dev.cern.ch– … including fts and xroot transfers of all VOs– Maybe good tool to see what/how others are currently doing

• FTS monitoring– See Michail’s talk

“WLCG 3pm meeting”

• Currently held Mo/Thu at 3pm held in CERN/513-R-068 or connect via Vidyo to be attended by the GEOC

• Preparation: Before lunch prepare a section in https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LHCb/ProductionOperationsWLCGdailyReports

• Attendees are: VOs, T0/1 Sites, WLCG service providers• Purpose:

– WLCG interaction of LHCb since the last meeting– Inform sites about current and upcoming activities– Incidents in the realm of WLCG -> IMPORTANT put GGUS links!!!

• For Run2 schedule may change – probably decided at the WLCG Workshop in April

WLCG Operations Coordination Meeting

• Bi-weekly meeting, 15.30 in CERN 31-S-023, Indico (including Vidyo), Twiki• Attendees: VOs, T0/1+2 sites, WLCG service providers, WLCG working

groups and task forces• Purpose:

– Status of Working Groups and Task forces– Operations and Plans of VOs– In depth discussion on operational issues

• Currently attended by IT link person• Proposal: GEOC of the week prepares the report and attends the meeting

– Advantages:• More wide-spread view of operations via different GEOCs• Enforced WLCG / LHCb interaction by involving GEOCs also in this context• GEOCs learn about the current issues and plans of LHCb in more detail
