Duties and Responsibilities of position: 1. Tutor students in course specific material as needed. 2. Tutor students in basic skills and pre-precalculus

(ALEKS) to help raise math placement score which also may include grading basic skills tests and reviewing tests with students.

3. Be able to display patience when working with students

4. Be attentive to students problems and concerns

Qualifications needed for position: 1. Minimum High School grade point average of 3.0 2. Completion of the course intended to tutor or

currently be in Calc II (i.e. Calculus I and II for math tutors) with a B or higher.

3. Excellent verbal skills. 4. Enthusiasm for helping others a plus. 5. If hired and you have never worked through student

employment, required new hire paperwork must be completed before you are eligible to begin working. This new hire paperwork requires that the student have original forms of acceptable ID with them on campus during the paperwork completion process.
