    CUTTING THROUGH THE CHASE

There are peripheral theological points that surface from time to time that tend to be

batted around and around until the debating parties get tired of arguing, or they get

hungry and decide the best course of action is just to go get lunch.

There are those few topics, however, that demand the utmost care due to their eternal

nature. These topics carry the weight of forever and hold within their conclusions, thedestiny of that human soul. One such topic is the person, nature, and work of Jesus

    Christ of Nazareth.

Holding fast to the absolute and infallible Word of God which is the Bible, we willexplore the scripture to find the answers. We will examine what the text itself says and

will allow the words to define doctrine refusing to allow doctrine to define scripture.

    After all:

Having the right Jesus means being right for all eternity,

Having the wrong Jesus means being wrong for all eternity.

Is it worth spending eternity in hell because of someone elses

misunderstanding of who Jesus Christ is?

    POINTS OF AGREEMENT:

It is agreed that it is the truth that is sought after. The Bible is the final source of Truth. PLEASE: This is not a personal attack, what will be examined and scrutinized isthe Watch Towers Theology.

    SHORT OUTLINE:

You know, there are a lot of things we can discuss about theology and the differences that we my have Butyou know, I want to focus on one main question that gets to the heart of it all

Lets talk about who Jesus is?

    =======================

There is a counterfeit Jesus, counterfeit spirit, and counterfeit gospel.

I use to think there were only one Jesus, one Spirit, and one Gospel, but 2 Cor. 11:4 says there is another

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive

another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might

well bear with [him]. 2Cor. 11:4=======================

I want to talk about this uninfluenced by any other person or organization:I dont want to talk about them with reference to denomination, and

I dont want you to talk about them with influences from the Watchtower, is that ok?

    SO:

You close your brief case and I will close everything I have and we will use only the Bible ---

Is the King James Version OK? Can we agree on the text that we will both agree is valid? We will deal with the text

    =======================

Lets look at the identity of the real Jesus --

    Jesus was a MAN:

I believe He was really man

He was hungry, He was thirsty, When someone touched Him He said who touched Him, He was in submission The Father done the work through Jesus..1 Cor. 15:45 Jesus was the last Adam Where Adam failed Jesus succeeded..

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a

    quickening spirit. 1 Cor. 15:45

Via Hebrews 2:9, he was made a little lower than angels and he tasted death and,

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned

with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Heb. 2:9

I believe that when he said my, My Father is greater than I, it was true, -- The Father was in a greater

    position than the Son..

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would

rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for myFatherisgreaterthan I. John 14:28

    THE DEITY OF CHRIST

I also believe there are passages in the Bible that call Jesus Christ not a god but truly GOD..

That he was addressed as DEITY He was worshipped as DEITY as God Himself

I think we need to look at those as well

Because after all they are important too because they speak to the person and identity of Jesus Christ.

To get a clear picture of Jesus we must examine all the passages that talk about him in order to truly get agood picture of him.

All Im interested in looking at the passages.

Can we please look at the passages?

Maybe you can explain them to me..

    (INTRODUCE CONTRADICTION)

    Hebrews 1:6

"And again, when he bringeth in the first begotteninto the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God

    worship ("proskuneo" ) him." KJV

    Hebrews 1:6

But when he again brings his Firstborn into theinhabited earth, he says: And let all Gods angels do

    obeisances ("proskuneo") to him.NWT

ASK: Who is the 1st Begotten? _________________ (JESUS)

(JW: Jesus- he is the first creation of Jehovah God, he is Michael the Arch Angel.. He is a god but

    not Jehovah God.)

ASK:But heres the problem it goes on to say that God commands that all the angels of Jehovah

    worship him Is this true?

(JW: Jesus is not to be worshipped the word is obeisance)

    ASK: What is the difference?

Your translation states that they will translate the word the same through out as to keep the integrityof the word and scripture...

Purple Edition Notice the translation to the right.. Let all Gods angels worship him.

Blue Edition 1985. Let all Gods angels do obeisance to him.

Greek is Greek. Why did the translators change the word from Worship in the purple edition to

    Obeisance in the Blue edition?

Has the meaning of the word proskuneo changed?

If one of the main guiding principles of the Watch Tower translation is to consistently translate the sameGreek word the same throughout the text, then how would you explain this?

In Luke 4:8, when Jesus was rebuking Satan, it says,

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship

the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.. Luke 4:8

The word worship used here is proskuneo and is translated WORSHIP

The word is the same.. Check you Kingdom Interlinear Is this a contradiction in the Word? Here is where the confusion comes in.

o How can the Father command the universe to worship the Son,"And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And

let all the angels of God worship ("proskuneo" ) him." Heb. 1:6

o Then the Son quotes the Father and says that the only one worthy of worship is Jehovah God?Thou shalt worship("proskuneo" ) the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve..

    Luke 4:8

o Who is wrong? The Father or Jesus? ______________________Then 2 verses later is says this,

But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the

sceptre of thy kingdom. Heb. 1:8KJV.

This is strange Can you explain why Jehovah God who started the dialoged in vs. 5, would say to the SON

(Jesus), Thy throne, O God [ho theos THE GOD] is forever and ever.... You own Kingdom Interlinearreads like this,

toward but the Son, The throne of you the God in to the ages of the age KIT (blue- pg 949)

    Translated like this,

Vs 8 But with reference to the Son: God is your throne forever and ever, and [the] scepter of your

kingdom is the scepter of uprightness. KIT. (blue pg 949)

QUESTION: JEHOVAH GOD IS CALLING JESUS JEHOVAH GOD. [HO THEOS]. HOW CAN

    THAT BE?

"The title ho theos (the God, or God), which now designates the Father as a personal reality, is not appliedin the N(ew) T(estament) to Jesus Himself; Jesus is the Son of God (of ho theos)..."Watchtower Magazine

    July 1, 1986. pg. 31

Jesus accepted the worship of Men

Jesus did not rebuke men when they called him Jehovah God, The God.

THE LORD OF ME AND THE GOD OF ME

    Please read

    John 20:27-28--- (he is Jesus)

27Next he said to Thomas: Put your fingershere, and see my hands, and take your hand and

stick it into my side, and stop being unbelieving

    but become believing

28 In answer Thomas said to him: My Lord andmy God!

27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, andbehold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust

[it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

And Thomas answered and said unto him,My Lord and

    my God.

    Scan of K.I.T.

Remember what the Watchtower said about ho-theos"The title ho theos (the God, or God), which now designates the Father as a personal reality, is not appliedin the N(ew) T(estament) to Jesus Himself; Jesus is the Son of God (of ho theos)..."Watchtower Magazine

    July 1, 1986. pg. 31

Question: Who did Thomas come to believe Jesus was? _______________________ (Jehovah God)

Question: Wouldnt it have been blasphemy for Jesus to accept the title of THE God? ____ Yes ____ No

Question: Why didnt Jesus rebuke Thomas for calling him THE God- There is no way out?

The term Thomas used is ho theos or The God BUT the Watchtower said that ho theos in NOTapplied to Jesus in the New Testament (see quote above); When really it is per their own Kingdom

Interlinear Translation. Notice also the word the in front of God. With that in mind, please tell me:

Thomas really called Jesus, THE Lord of me and THE God of me.

Who is wrong? ______ Thomas OR _______ The Watchtower

If Thomas was wrong then why didnt Jesus rebuke him? Jesus was a Rabbi and by law He wouldhave had to rebuke Thomas, as a matter of fact, Jesus actually said that Thomas finally got it right?

What reason would the Watchtower have in purposefully miss-translating this verse? How can the Watchtower be wrong if they are Jehovahs chosen channel of explanation of Scripture? If the Watchtower can be wrong, then what else could they have gotten wrong?

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are]

they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed. John 20:29

    NEXT GO TO: JOHN 5:8-18

8 Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk."

9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.

10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your

    bed."

11 He answered them, "He who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.'"

12 Then they asked him, "Who is the Man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk'?"

13 But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being inthat place.

14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no

more, lest a worse thing come upon you."

15 The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. Honor the Father and

    the Son

16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things

    on the Sabbath.

17 But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."

18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke [Lyo] the Sabbath, but

also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal [Isos] with God.

John 5:18 They wanted to kill Jesus because he had broken (Lyo- means undone loosed -

    UNRESTRICTED)

Jesus was the Lord of the Sabbath, therefore He could undo the Sabbath restrictions and tell the man get up.

Jesus could loose the restrictions.. (Jesus never broke the Sabbath)

Circle the word equal- with God. ---

EQUAL: ISOS Equal to another.. To claim for ones self, the nature, rank, and authority, whichbelongs to Jehovah God. Thayers Lexicon.

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken[loosed the restrictions of]

the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, makinghimself equal with God. Jhn. 5:18

    But,

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would

rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. John 14:28

And (Reference: Ps. 8:5, Heb. 2:7)

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lowerthantheangels for the suffering of death, crowned with

glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Heb. 2:9

With this in mind, how can Heb. 2:9 and John 14:28 be reconciled with John 5:18?How can Jesus be calling himselfequal with God in nature, rank, and authority yet the Father begreater

than He because He was made a little lower than the angels do he could die for every man?

The only way to reconcile this is that Jesus Christ was both GOD and MAN. Christ humbled (emptied)

Himself as a man but never ceased to be God.

    Then go to Philippians 2:5

Who, being[hyparcho] in the form of God never thought it to be robbery to be equal[Isos] with God

    - Phil 2:5

o (beinghyparch here means never stopped being or never ceasing to exist)o The Who is Jesus.o This verse would be rendered, Jesus, who never stopped being or never ceasing to existin the

form of God, never thought it to be something to be grasped afterto claim for himelf, the nature,

rank, and authority, which belongs to Jehovah God.

Doesnt this mean that Jesus existed in the form of God and therefore didnt have to strive for or covet

it because it was already his.. Jesus didnt have to strive to be God because He never stopped being

    God.

Could this be why in Hebrews 1:4-5 it says that

Being made so much better than the angels, as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name

than they For unto which of the angels said he at any time, you are my Son, this day, I have begotten

you? And again, I will be a Father to Him, and he shall be my Son? Heb. 1:4-5

Who? The angels This is a contrast not a comparison..

The Father Speaks to the Son and says,

Heb. 1:7-8 But unto the Son He says, Your Throne O God, is for ever and ever; a scepter of

righteousness in the scepter of your kingdom.

o You have the FATHER calling the SON --- JEHOVAH !!!o

The JWs own Kingdom Interlinear says the raw Greek text would read:o And toward indeed the angels he is saying The (one) making the angels of him spirits,

and the public workers of him of fire flame; toward but the SON the throne of you THE

GOD into the age of the age, and the staff of the straightness staff of the kingdom of him.

Jesus Christ was dependent totally upon His Father for direction and all that was done by Jesus was throughthe direct of God through the power of Holy Spirit. Jesus Christs whole ministry was dependent on the

Father. The miracles that Jesus did were done through God the Holy Spirit at the direction of God the

    Father.

[4] I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. [5] And

now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before theworld was. (Jhn 17:4-5 KJV)

Jesus was glorified and declared to have power in Romans 1:4 by resurrection from among the corpses.

[4] And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the

resurrection from the dead: (Rom 1:4 KJV)

This gives Jesus the right to say,

  • 7/30/2019 Witnessing to the Witness-Condensed

    11/18

[18] And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

[19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,and of the Holy Ghost: (Mat 28:18-19 KJV)

What Jesus laid aside at the INCARNATION, He took back at the RESSURECTION.

So, In Philippians, we have true DIETY living in true HUMANITY.

    Phil. 2:8-11

Philippians 2:8- 11And being found in fashion of a man, he humiliated himself, and became obedient

unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also has exalted him, and given him a name

which is above every name; 10 that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in heaven,

and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus

Christ is LORD, to the glory of the God the Father..

Humiliated humbled himself or emptied Himself..

What did Jesus empty Himself of? Couldnt be His Diety because Phil. 2:5 says He never stopped being God.

Jesus emptied himself of his right to independently act as God through the Attributes of true Diety. God theFather acted through Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesuss knowledge was supernaturally

imparted to him by God the Father, and his works came to him by direction of the Father

Just because Jesus willingly and purposefully restricts his own actions and power never reduces nor

diminishes His deity. This is the miracle of the incarnation that God would add humanity to his deity and

come in the form of baby, purposefully restricting his own attributes that makes God God so that he couldidentify with man as part of that race in order to be our kinsmen redeemer and die in our place

Jesus Christ is Jehovah God to the Glory of Jehovah God..

The Kingdom Interlinear says that the restoration of the Holy Name in the New Testament can only be donebe referring to the Old Testament and where the NT writers quote the OT and the OT uses the Holy Name,

thus shall it be used in the NT.

o Phillipians 2:11 is a Direct QUOTE from ISAIAH 45:23-o I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not

return, that unto ME, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall swear. Isa. 45:23

Paul quotes JEHOVAH AND APPLIES IT TO JESUS CHRIST. Paul says that the JEHOVAH of Isaiah 45:23 is THE CHRIST of Philippians 2:11

Isa. 45:23 linked with John 5:18 supported by Philippians 2:11 identifies God the Father as God the Son.There is no way around it. The text says it. Paul reiterates it and God in Isaiah 45:23 confirms it.

11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of the God the

    Father.. Phil 2:11 KJV

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return,

That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Isa 45:23

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said

also that God was his Father, making himselfequal with God. John 5:18

EQUAL: ISOS Equal to another.. To claim for ones self, the nature, rank, and authority,

which belongs to Jehovah God. Thayers Lexicon.

Later is John 8:58- Jesus said,

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. Then took they up

stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of

them, and so passed by. John 8:58.

The precedence was set in John 5:18 that the Jews picked up rocks to stone Jesus because he claimed to equal

with to be equal with in nature, rank, and authority to Jehovah God.

They pick up stones again in John 8:58 because he was claiming to be the I AM of Exo. 3:14. This was notJesus declaring to be in union with Jehovah for the Jews themselves claimed to be in like mind and inunion with the purpose of Jehovah, so why would they stone Jesus (a Rabbi) for claiming the same thing they

    did?

The truth is, I AM is of John 8:58 is I AM of Exo 3:14. This is why the Jews wanted to stone Jesus. He was

again, CLAIMING TO BE THE GOD not a god, but Jehovah God.

    Thus says the Lord the king of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of host; I am the first and I am the last;

Revelation 1:17 clearly indicates thatJesus Christ is the First and the Last.

Isaiah 44:6 clearly states that there is only ONE First and Last and that is JEHOVAH GOD and beside

Revelation 1:17 clearly indicates that Jesus spoke to John and called himself the FIRST AND THE LAST.

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me,[fn]"Do not be afraid;I am the First and the Last.

Isaiah 44:6 and 48:12 and 41:4clearly says that Jehovah ALONE is the FIRST AND THE LAST

Revelation 22:13 clearly states that JEHOVAH GOD is the Alpha and Omega the First and the Last..

BUT READ Revelation 1:17-18And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do

not be afraid;I am the First and the Last.I [am] He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive

forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

This states that the FIRST AND THE LAST was DEAD !!!!!

QUESTION: WHEN DID JEHOVAH GOD DIE? -- The spirit cannot die so WHO DIED ???

JEHOVAH GOD DIED ON A CROSS 2000 YEARS AGO FOR THE SINS OF MANKIND.

God Demands RIGHTEOUSNESS: [20] For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed [therighteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Mat 5:20 KJV)

Man is NOT RIGHTEOUS: [10] As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Rom 3:10 KJV)

SIN leads to DEATH: [23] For the wages of sin [is] death; (Rom. 6:23a KJV)

God made a way for LIFE: but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom 6:23b KJV)

God added humanity to His Diety and walked among us. 100 man / 100 deity: And the Word was made flesh, anddwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John1:14 KJV)

The sinless Christ became our sin so that we could share in HIS righteous: [21] For he hath made him [to be] sinfor us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2Cr 5:21 KJV)

CHRIST DIED for US: [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died

    for us. (Rom 5:8 KJV)

OUR SALVATION IS DUE SOLE TO THE GIFT OF GOD: [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and thatnot of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: (Eph 2:8 KJV)

THE GOSPEL: [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye havereceived, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unlessye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for oursins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the

    scriptures: (1Cr 15:1-4 KJV)

THE GOSPEL COST GOD EVERYTHING, YET IT IS SIMPLE: [3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpentbeguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from thesimplicity that is in Christ. (2Cr 11:3KJV)

CONFESS - that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Himfrom the dead, you will be saved. Rom 10:9

REPENT AND BELIEVE: [15] And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and

believe the gospel. (Mar 1:15 KJV)

The Jesus of the Watchtower is not the Jesus of Scripture. The Jesus of Scripture was and is Deity. Jesus is

Jehovah God He laid aside the right to act as God so he could die as a man for the sins of men. Are you willingto trust your soul on a false understand of the true nature of Jesus?

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or [if] ye receive another spirit,

which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with [him].

    2Cor. 11:4

I have shown you the true Jesus and the true Gospel Will you deny the truth for a lie? Or will you allow me to

pray with you to accept the true Jesus and true salvation of whom I talked?

    DOES JEHOVAH SHARE HIS GLORY

[1]In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the

temple. [2] Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he

covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. [3] And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of

hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory. [4] And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the

house was filled with smoke. [5] Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone; because I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I

dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. (Isa 6:1-5 KJV)

[37] But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: [38] That the saying of Esaias

the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord

been revealed? [39] Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, [40] He hath blinded their eyes,

and hardened their heart; that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be converted,

and I should heal them. [41] These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. (Jhn 12:37-41 KJV)

give my glory unto another. (Isa 48:11 KJV)

    WHO IS THE STUMBLING STONE?

Jehovah God is the stumbling stone:[13] Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and [let] him [be] your fear, and [let] him [be] your dread. [14] And he shall be

for a sanctuary; butfor a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a

snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. (Isa 8:13-14 KJV)

Jesus is the stumbling stone.[6] Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that

believeth on him shall not be confounded. [7] Unto you therefore which believe [he is] precious: but unto them which be

disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, [8] And a stone of

stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were

    appointed. (1Pe 2:6-8 KJV)
