With Sincere Gratitude It has been a busy year as we expanded our mission’s pledge to help the animals and their people in our community. Because of you, our supporters, we have spayed and neutered thousands of dogs, domestic cats, and free roaming cats preventing incalculable numbers of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born into neglect, disease, and starvation. Low-income pet owners have been assisted with large vet bills for pets that, without our help, would have suffered or been euthanized. Victims of domestic violence have been able to place their beloved pets in our care, while they faced the challenges of getting back on their feet. We were able to supply pet food to hundreds of homeless and financially strained pet owners through donations from local businesses and animal lovers. Hundreds of seniors, disabled adults, and disadvantaged children have been cheered by our PAWS pet- assisted therapy visits. School children have increased their reading ability through our Canine Literacy program and learned how to be humane to animals in Kindness Kids presentations. None of this could have happened without you, so it is fitting that the theme of this letter emerges as one of gratitude to all our supporters, pledge donors, members, volunteers, veterinarians, grantors, sponsors, and everyone who contributes in so many different ways to help the helpless. To each and every one of you, from all the Fluffys, Rovers, and nameless animals that were saved, we send best wishes for the holiday season. May 2013 be good to you and all the creatures that enrich our lives. Heartfelt thanks, The Orange County SPCA Board of Directors: Bob, Donna, Judy, Kim, Renee, Tracy and our new Executive Director Stacy Sweeting During this season of giving, please remember the homeless animals. Call your local shelters and rescues to find out if you can donate toys, treats, blankets, or food. If you cannot give a donation, volunteer your time or become a foster parent. An act of compassion will be the greatest gift you could ever give to the animals and yourself.

During this season of giving, please remember the homeless animals. Call your local shelters and rescues to find out if you can donate toys, treats, blankets, or food. If you cannot give a donation, volunteer your time or become a foster parent. An act of compassion will be the greatest gift you could ever give to the animals and yourself.
