here are some of my top tips.

1 Plan your visitThink about what’s missing in your wardrobe, what colours and silhouettes suit you. Set aside time to browse and shop, and wear comfy shoes.

4 Invest in the bestLook out for silk, wool, linen, cashmere and lace, particularly when searching for vintage clothing and accessories. Then check for a care label so that you can look after your beautiful garment well.

3 Power up the potentialFind a great tailor and cobbler. Your perfect fit might be an alteration away, and shoes or boots can be re-heeled or re-soled for longer wear.

5 Share the loveMake room in your wardrobe regularly and donate good quality clothing and accessories to Vinnies when you are no longer wearing them.

2Do a lap of the whole shop as you never know where your perfect find is hiding... search the women’s, men’s, and kidswear racks and don’t be put off by sizing tags until you try the garment on for fit.
