Brief BioBorn in 1966 in Vietnam, I would become the older of two boys. My father, an assiduous engineer from Illinois, and my mother, a homemaker born in Vietnam, afforded our family the opportunity to travel and relish a variety of cultures and locales including France, China, Egypt, and Turkey. In 1973, we left Vietnam for Singapore only to live in Hawaii two years later. I attended middle school in Saudi Arabia and high school in Lugano, Switzerland before returning to the United States to live in Florida. From there, I attended a military school in St. Petersburg for my final two years of high school. After receiving a swimming scholarship, I attended Florida State University in 1985 and would eventually earn my bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from FSU. I remain a loyal Seminoles fan. I went into International Consulting where I worked for three years as a research associate in Tampa, Fl. and then moved back to Tallahassee to become an analyst for a Management Consulting firm. Then, I decided I wanted a career change and began coaching and teaching at the high school level. It has always been a passion of mine to work with and positively influence young minds, be it on the field or in the classroom. My home is now in Naples, Florida. I have two beautiful daughters who light up my life every day. One is middle school aged and the other is in elementary school.
