We treat and monitor eye conditions including:

• Glaucoma– diagnosis, management planning and monitoring• Ocular Hypertension – diagnosis, management planning and monitoring• Epiphora (Watery eyes)• Dry Eyes• Undiagnosed Red Eye• Non Active Retinal Abnormalities• Iritis• Conjunctivitis (not responding to treatment)• Concretions• Naevi• Loss of Vision (inc. transient loss but not sudden loss)• Mild Atopic Keratoconjunctivitis• In Growing Eyelashes• Posterior Vitreous Detachment – flashes and floaters• Blepharitis• Pingueculae and Pterygium (only symptomatic or troublesome)• Minor Surgery: - Periorbital cysts and skin tags - Conjunctival Cysts - Punctoplasty – Three Snip Procedure - Chalazion

Who can refer to Wirral Vision?

Opticians, GPs and other health professionals, via our referral form.

You can email us at [email protected] or call us on 0151 630 8114 to request a copy of our referral form.

How long is the waiting list?

All referrals are screened within 1 working day and patients are offered an appointment within 2 working days should their referralbe appropriate for the service. Urgent referrals are seen within 1-14days and routine within 1-6 weeks.

• The service is delivered and managed by consultant Ophthalmologists.

• There are 5 - 7 clinics per week including Saturdays.

• We are able see Ophthalmic emergencies the same day and, on average, within 24-48hrs. Urgent referrals are seen within 1-14 days, routine referrals are seen 1-6 weeks

• Average waiting time for an appointment is 4-6 weeks, there are no delays once an appointment is fixed.
