Belgo Bekaert Arames is a successful partnership between Belgo (now ArcelorMittal Long Steel – South and

Central America) and N.V. Bekaert that began in 1968 and was consolidated with the formation of a joint venture

in 1997.

Belgo is now part of the ArcelorMittal Group, the world´s largest steel producer. N.V. Bekaert is recognized as a

world leader in the production of steel wire, advanced materials and metallic coatings.

Belgo Bekaert Arames is the largest wire manufacturer in the Americas and market leader in the Brazilian market, with

an annual production capacity of around 900 thousand tons of drawn wire.

Quality of steel wool wires manufactured by Belgo Bekaert Arames is acknowledged internationally. In order to guarantee higt quality standards, special procedures are followed during steel fabrication, through the use of ladle furnaces, vacuum degasing, continuous casting and Stelmor controlled cooling process. SPC is used at steel shop and rolling mill.
