Why take Winter Session courses at Siena? Online courses allow students freedom to study from home or any location. The break between fall and spring semesters is a perfect time for students to get ahead or get caught up, without the pressure of a full-time schedule. In addition, the discounted Winter tuition allows students to stay on track while saving money.

Registration Winter Session registration for Siena students runs concurrent with Spring registration in November 2020, and remains open until classes begin. Current Siena students register on Web for Students on their designated dates. Seniors - November 3 and 4 - Juniors - November 9 and 10 - Sophomores - November 12 and 13 and Freshmen on November 16th.

Non-Siena students can find an online registration form at www.siena.edu/winter. Non-Siena students may register after November 17th, 2020 for any open class that they have the prerequisite for. Registration for Non-Siena Students may be

found at www.siena.edu/winter. Use the Registration Form for Non-Siena Students.

Tuition payment is due by December 7th, 2020.

Financial Aid and Housing Financial Aid and Housing are not available during Winter Session.

What do the class modes mean? ONAS - Online Asynchronous - 100% Online - No Time Assigned ONSY - Online Synchronous - 80% to 100% on Zoom - 0% to 20% could be Online - Time Assigned HRS - Hybrid Synchronous Remote - 20%-70% on Zoom - 30% to 80% Online - Time Assigned HYBR - Hybrid - 20% to 70% taught in a classroom - 30% to 80% may be Online - Classroom and Time Assigned CLAS - In Classroom - 100% of class taught in Classroom - Classroom and Time Assigned

WINTER SESSION 2020-2021 Tuition Rates and Other Information

SPECIAL WINTER TUITION RATES IN EFFECT FOR 2020-2021 The undergraduate part-time tuition rate is discounted to $500/credit hour ($1,500 for a 3-credit course and $2,000 for a 4-credit course) for a single course taken during the 2020-2021 winter session. Undergraduate internships and independent studies are also $500/credit hour during the winter session, if offered. Regular part-time tuition during the fall and spring semesters is $675/credit hour.

TAKE TWO COURSES AND SAVE EVEN MORE … Students taking a second course from any of the undergraduate Winter term offerings receive an additional discounted rate of only $250/credit hour per course. Your first 3 credit course would cost $1,500 and your second course would cost $750.00. This is a savings of $1,800 for the two courses. Under normal tuition rates of $675 a credit hour, two 3-credit classes would have a cost of $4,050.00. For our 4-credit classes the cost would be $1,000 for the second class.

NOTE: Graduate courses are not eligible for the discounted rate. PLEASE NOTE: Students are allowed to take up to 2 classes during the entire Winter Session no matter what the credits are (just 2 classes), and one Internship, if applicable. FEES: A College Registration Fee of $110 is applied to all part-time student registrations, per semester, this includes the Winter Session. WITHDRAWALS If you wish to withdraw from a Winter Session course and fail to formally withdraw by the posted deadline, you may be held liable for all or a portion of the tuition fee for that course. The official Withdrawal Form for Siena College can be found at: https://www.siena.edu/offices/academics/academic-forms/ HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARS PROGRAM Qualified and motivated high school juniors and seniors have the opportunity to take an introductory undergraduate course for a discounted rate of just $750 per course, which applies to any 3 or 4-credit course. Students receive a letter grade and full college credit for courses completed with a passing grade. The registration form can be found at www.siena.edu/winter. Registration for High School Scholars begins November 17, 2020 based on available classes. PLEASE NOTE: High School Scholars may register for only one course during our entire Winter Session.
