When We Fight...We Win
The 110th Annual Meeting of the NAACP was nothing short of
motivational and awe-inspiring. From the opening gavel and
Call to Order by Vice-Chairman Karen Boykin-Towns to the
electrifying benediction by the incomparable Rabbi Johna
Presner, the meeting proved to be just phenomenal.
Chairman, Leon W. Russell delivered an impressive
speech…”When We Fight...We Win”! His words were universal
and sentiments that we can all use, as we move upward and
forward doing the work of our beautiful organization. The
Chairman reminded us that in order to win; we must first be in
the fight with open arms. Open arms are a KEY component to
our sisterhood. He told us that there is value in the truth. We
must ensure that we stand for truth, equity, and justice for
everyone.
In many of our chapters across the organization, it is an
elections cycle. It is time for a new generation of leadership to
emerge. Sorors, it is imperative that we are in the the organization making a significant difference and not just on the
sidelines. Being engaged and supportive is KEY. Finally,
remember that even if the person you voted for is not elected,
the work of KEY is the primary mission. We have so much to
be proud of in the eight years we have been in existence, and
there is so much work ahead of us in the countless years to
come. Remember.... WHEN WE FIGHT... WE WIN!

Serving our New
Neighbors In preparation for our move to the Greater
Atlanta Area, it was especially crucial for
our new neighbors to understand that we
came with one agenda; to serve the
community! Commissioner Larry Johnson,
Dekalb County Commissioner, District 3,
invited Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority
Inc. to partner with him and several other
organizations; including the Dekalb County
NAACP, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.,
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Huglife and
many others to provide Turkey's, clothes
and shoes to those in need during the
Thanksgiving Holiday Season. Over 300
families came out the event at The Gallery
at South Dekalb, and Kappa Epsilon Psi Military
Sorority, Inc. donated 50 Turkeys to ensure every
family had a fantastic holiday. Churches, youth
organizations and individuals alike, came out in
record numbers to give back to the residents ofDistrict 3. Commissioner Larry Johnson was
extremely grateful for our motivated service.
As we make Dekalb County the new Home of the
Elite Professionals, we look forward to more
opportunities to be "Women of Service, Being of
Service!"

Community Service to the next level. The local
USO recently recognized Soror White for over
140 hours of service within 2018. Because of her
tireless efforts, the USO was able to give fantastic
support to both military service member and their
families. Her service has no limits.
Breast Cancer

Days for Girls (DfG)
Detroit Omicron - Days for Girls (DfG) is a global
movement that prepares and distributes sustainable
menstrual health solutions to girls who would other-
wise miss school during their monthly periods. The
organization began with volunteers in November
2008 as a small yet passionate group of women
(and some men!) and has rapidly grown into a ro-
bust network of more than 50,000 volunteers
around the globe. By 2018, the DfG Kits (designed
to last up to three years) and health education pro-
grams had reached more than one million girls and
women in over 100 countries.
In 2017, Soror Ruby Page took up Detroit Omicron
Chapter’s Challenge for Change. Soror Page lead
the chapter
in acquiring
material,
assembling
kits and dis-
tribution.
Each pack-
age is in a
draw-string
bag and in-
cludes reusable cloth menstrual pads made up of
colorful shields and liners, underwear, a washcloth
and soap, ziplock bags and other items. The kit
enables girls to carry their clean and used items
discreetly and to take care of their own hygiene
needs. During the distributions, women, and girls
also receive health education to break stigmas and
cultural taboos associated with menstruation.
Omicron Chapter salutes Soror Page in leading the
way for a change. With her hard work, we are on
schedule to fulfill our first order in the upcoming
weeks. Thank you, Soror Page, for your dedication,
perseverance, and willingness to lead us as Women
of Service.
Veteran Bonding Memphis Theta: The Sorors of Memphis Theta aka those Memphis
Kueens had a fantastic time bonding at the American Legion
for Thanksgiving. Not only did they meet and fellowship
then fellow veterans, but they also invited their families and
friends to join in on the feast. Memphis Theta takes the love
of fellowship in their community to the next level. The So-
rors labor diligently while serving and enjoying fellowship
with Alpha Omega Veterans Services. Sorors were encour-
aged by the story of how a Mother of a Veteran started the
organization to assister her sons returning home with PTSD.
Their community relations never ends.
On Post The Sorors of Louisville Phi are incredibly excited to occupy a per-
manent space to operate from on post. They recently acquired the
keys to their new home and chapter headquarters on Fort
Knox. Through their hard work and dedication, Louisville Phi is now
an official Private Organization on the post which allows them to
occupy office space to facilitate all of the chapter’s needs.

Giving from the Heart at
Christmas
Little Rock Alpha Gamma: The Sorors of Little Rock Alpha
Gamma assisted Fishnet Ministries in preparing breakfast for
over 300 homeless and less fortunate individuals (men, woman,
and children) for the 14th Annual Christmas Caravan in Little
Rock, Arkansas. President Barbara Lunon and five other Sorors took time away from their families during the holiday season to spread a little holiday cheer. Once breakfast was complete, the
Sorors continued with the heartfelt gift of service, by donating blankets to those in need.
Service did not end there for Little Rock Alpha Gamma, some of
the Sorors later participated in Wreaths Across America. After a
long day of service, the Sorors took time to bond at their Annual
Christmas Party. With Sorors, family, and friends in attendance,
Little Rock Alpha Gamma ended the day by presenting their two
newest Sorors with certificates commemorating the completion of the New Dawn Rose Mentorship Program. Well done Little
Rock! You ROCK!

Ovarian Cancer Gala: Even a natural disaster like Hurri-
cane Michael could not stop the mighty Beta Chapter. After
months of hard work and extensive planning, they hosted
their first annual Ovarian Cancer Gala. The Gala was creat-
ed to raise funds to support Teal Diva, a nonprofit organiza-
tion that brings awareness to this deadly disease. The
Guest speaker, Dr. Black, delivered a powerful speech followed
by a unique poem written by our decidedly won Soror Colette
Jones from Columbia Psi. The event was brought together
members of National Leadership, Regional Leadership, many
Local Leaders from around the Sorority and members of Kappa
Lambda Chi Military Fraternity Inc. The gala was a huge suc-
cess, and through their efforts, Fayetteville Beta was able to
make a substantial donation to Teal Diva. Well Done So-
rors.
Together in Service
Fayetteville Beta has Labored Diligently this year in the
areas of Service and Sisterhood. President Brooks has
led the chapter to be a premiere service organization in
their area and people are taking notice. The Soror of
the infamous Beta Chapter took part in the Wreaths
Around America. There efforts during this event united
members from other Military Greek Letter Organizations in the
Fayetteville area. It was a great opportunity for collaboration
while giving back.

Sisterly Greetings Sorors!
Happy New Year to all of our Sorors and Welcome Back! We are looking forward to a fantastic 2019 Sorority year. There are so many exciting things before us and Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority, Incorporated con-tinues to level up as elite “Women of Service, Being of Service” and serving our communities in excellence!
As we move into the first quarter, there are some ex-
traordinary ventures upon which we will be embarking.
As you know, we have launched our very first Sorority-
Wide Capital Campaign. The purpose of this campaign is
to ensure that we can open and operate our very first state of the art- International Headquarters. It is time for us to
level-up and move from just a PO Box to an actual brick
and mortar location. This International Headquarters will be the center of our operations.
In 2019, the organization will focus on the total Soror
Concept. We have taken into consideration your feed-
back, and we are in the process of establishing programs
that will assist not only newly initiated Sorors but all of our active Sorors; providing everyone an opportunity to take their knowledge of our organization
to the next level by launching the opening of our KEY Academy and Training Institute. Stay Tuned.
Our organization will undergo a reorganization and
restructuring that is intended to posture us for major
recruiting and expansion efforts. It’s time for us to take
the world by storm and to do this we must deploy a
strategy that makes us viable in the areas where we
currently have a presence and areas that are prime for
us to create an appearance. Also, we are going to solidify
our current programs with the necessary structure,
leadership, and guidance. You will see some significant
transitions as we move into our new home in Decatur, Georgia.
In 2019, our relationships you will see our relationships
with all of our partners go to greater heights. Now
that we have acquired these partners it is time to go to
work. We are establishing unique and meaningful
programs that are aligned with our vision and mission. It is imperative that they can be seamlessly deployed
throughout the Sorority. Our impact will be measurable
and sustainable, and our partners will have a great
appreciation for who we are, what we do and the
relationships we’ve established. 2019 is the year of
building lasting relationships within our community.
We are also looking forward to an #EXPLOSIVE Reveille.
We desire to see as many of our Sorors in attendance as
possible. There are so many surprises in store for those
who will be in attendance. You will NOT want to miss it! Your support of our Annual "Reveille" Conference is
critical. It is the one time of each year that we get to come
together in the spirit of genuine love, bonding and Sisterhood! - UNITED IN SISTERHOOD!
