We'll meet to take the R42 PVTA bus to Florence, MA from the Academy of Music at 3:50pm. The bus costs $1.25 each way. If you go on your own, tell the bus driver you’d like to stop at Look Park – it will be the next stop after Florence Center. Buses leave every hour from Look Park to come back to town.

Look Park: Santa's Trains & Holiday Lights3:20pm, meet in Cutter Living Room

This holiday season, at Look Park you can take a hay ride around the Park to view over 50 holiday light displays made by the park’s Grounds and Maintenance staff.

At Look Park you can also celebrate this special time of the year with a selection of running model trains whirling by displays of a whimsical wonderland of Christmas favorites and village landscapes. Chat with out authentic engineers, view beautifully themed holiday trees and visit Santa and Mrs. Claus before relaxing with a holiday cookie and hot chocolate.

Santa’s Trains is free, and the hayride is $5 per person.

Post Christmas sales have begun! Shop those crazy holiday sales at the mall! We’ll meet and walk to the Academy of Music to take the R41 PVTA bus to Holyoke Mall. The bus costs $1.25 each way. Anyone who is interested will take the 12:00pm bus to the mall, and we’ll meet back up at the bus stop at 4:00pm to come back to campus. This will be a great chance to spend time with other Smithies, but feel free to go earlier or stay later.

The Beneski Museum of Natural History11:30 pm, meet at JGM

The museum is at Amherst College and showcases fossils and minerals collected locally and abroad, many by past and present students and professors.The museum is open from 11:00am to 4:00 and admission is free. The B43 bus costs $1.25 each way. The bus schedule can be found on page 3.

Anyone who is interested can take the 11:30am bus to the mall, and we’ll meet back up at the bus stop at 3:50pm to come back to campus.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 30TH

Watch a Movie at Cinemark Hampshire Mall! Claim your free Cinemark Gift Card (only 25 available!) and come watch the movie of your choice at Hampshire Mall! Gift cards can be picked up from your Winter Break HRs. Choose either an early bird or matinee timing and then take the appropriate bus to get there. See the bus schedule on page 3.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31ST

First Night Northampton! 12:00 noon - 12:00 midnight, all over downtown NorthamptonNorthampton comes alive on New Year’s Eve! All day and night there will be performances and special deals all over town for those who have a First Night Northampton button. Sign up at the Residence Life meeting on 12/22 for a free button. Any remaining buttons will be dis-tributed by Winter Break HRs. You can also buy a button on your own (Daytime buttons- good until 6pm: $10; All day and night buttons: $16 if you purchase ahead of time, $20 if you purchase on that day).

We’ll meet in the living room of your house to walk down to the first event at the Academy of Music at 12 noon, SHOW Circus Studio’s Holiday Party. There will be two large performances! To learn more about the events and performances, go to: www.firstnightnorthampton.org.

Every year, the Hotel Northampton rings in the New Year with a glittering ball atop the roof. Gather in the center of town to count-down the last minutes of 2017 and watch the ball rise to signify the New Year. This event is usually attended by hundreds of people - it’s like a mini-Times Square! FREE.
