Scholarship Testimonial by Adam Depew:“ This summer I had the privilege of attending Anderson University to complete my level III certification in Orff Schulwerk. Studying with Roger Sams was amazing and I felt I was able to take my understanding of the Schulwerk to the next level. I met many colleagues who I was able to connect with, as we grew together and honed our pedagogical understanding to better reach our students. Thank you to the GCCAOSA for financially assisting me in taking my course this summer!.”

President’s Message

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020!

We have two more exciting workshops this year in GCCAOSA. The first is our Chapter Share Workshop on February 22. Four of our own chapter members will be presenting sessions, and we will enjoy a performance by the Southdale Orff Ensemble. We will finish our year together on March 21 with Jennifer Donovan and her workshop entitled Connecting the Arts - The Heart of the Schulwerk. More details about each workshop are in this newsletter and on our website. Both workshops are ones that you do not want to miss. You can also access a guest pass for a friend or colleague to attend one of our workshops.

In exciting news, our wonderful Boutique has created a chapter shirt! Please use the google form below to place your order if you would like to do so!

Finally, please consider voting in the National AOSA NBT election. Voting is via electronic ballot and runs from January 6 - February 6. You can read about each of the candidates on the AOSA website.

I hope everyone has a wonderful start to 2020. I look forward to seeing everyone in February!
