Sandbox got its start in 2004 as a video production company when my friends and I started filming the next generation of Canadian pro snowboarders. In 2007, our venture into products began when we started developing helmets for our riders to film in. We needed something that looked cool, fit better and was lower profile than other helmets on the market. Our unique Classic shape was an instant crowd pleaser in our local snowboard community. Since then, we have been building our brand globally through grass roots involvement in camps and events, social media and team rider support and exposure. At the root of what we do is a real understanding of rider needs. After ten years in the helmet game, we are still a rider owned company developing rider inspired products in the shred mecca of Canada, Whistler, BC. Wow, has it been 10 years already? Time flies when you’re having fun!

GOGGLE VENTING We designed the Goggle Venting system to work seamlessly with Sandbox goggles, and most other goggles too. Heat and moisture are drawn from your face and eyewear, up through channels in the EPS liner and out the Rear Vents.

CHIMNEY VENTSTo help keep you cool, we added Chimney Vents that allow the majority of your body heat to rise passively through the eight vents in the crown. This heat then meets the helmet’s Air Flow system and is pushed out the Rear Vents.

AIR FLOWWe needed to find a way to add air flow without compromising the clean look of our Classic helmet. We didn’t want to simply put holes on the crown that would allow snow and water to flow directly to your head. Instead, the Classic 2.0 features Under Cover Venting: designed to let air enter the helmet from below the brim and through the front Slash Vent. This air flow then moves through channels in the liner that run up and over the crown, collecting excess heat and moisture rising up the Chimney Vents, exhausting it all out the Rear Vents. The end result? A cooler ride.

THE ONLY THING MISSING WAS VENTS.

HARD-CORE [EPS]

This shell and foam combination provides ultimate high-impact protection while still keeping it low profile.

All Sandbox helmets are designed to have an ultra low profile fit without compromising safety.

All our helmets come with multiple fit pad thicknesses so you have 18 different combinations to make your helmet fit perfectly.

Our Classic 2.0 models have stealth vents which allow air to flow into channels in the liner where heat and moisture are pushed through and exhausted out the rear vents.

All of our snow helmets have an ear cover/neck cozy that offers comfort and warmth when you need it, but is easily removable for when you don’t.

The ear covers on all Snow models have built-in audio pockets with multiple inserts to fit most headphone styles, big or small. (Not available on Kids Snow helmets.)

All our helmet shapes are compatible with most goggles, especially Sandbox goggles.

The goggle clip on our Legend Snow model slides on and off easily when you don’t need it.

The slide on/slide off goggle clip on our Classic 2.0 Snow model offers 3 positions so you can work around your goggle strap buckle and adjuster. An ‘industry first’!

Plush fabric on select colourways in our Snow and Snow Kids models offer extra warmth and comfort.

All our kids helmets come with an extra set of thinner fit pads so you can enlarge the fit of the helmet. This will help your little shredder get an extra season out of their Sandbox helmet.
