At Gate Hill, one of our core values is to always improve. Whether it’s a

camper working hard at instructional swim, our counselors learning new

ways to make the day fun, or the year round team planning 10 months for 2!

One way that we always improve is with our commitment to the facility. I'm

excited to share a few of this year’s developments with you!

Our newest addition is a multipurpose athletic field located next to the Dining

Hall. Get pumped for the new home of Lacrosse, Gate Hill Classics like

Stealing Sticks and Flag Football— THAT’S A TOUCHDOWN!

At the same time campers will notice a new look as they enter camp. More

trees and shrubs, and expanded parking for better access and flow.

Elsewhere on camp we are making better use of our beautiful forest setting

with the construction of a winding nature trail to explore. Navigating past

several species of tree, natural streams and rock features, there’s lots to

discover. The new trail allows us to continue to expand our growing nature

program.

We have lots more exciting 2014 developments in the

works. Stay tuned for updates on Camp on Wheels, Early

Childhood and more in the coming months.

ANNUAL SPRING FLING SAVE THAT DATE!

To bring back those warm summer feelings, many of our camp families joined us for

the annual Gate Hill Reunion at Powerhouse Studios in November! We celebrated

birthdays, played Mostest Monday, enjoyed some wacky fun and campers received

their traditional group photo and memories DVD!

Gate Hill loves to put on a party, and this winter for the first time we left camp to bring

the fun to the heart of NYC, celebrating a winter carnival with our city families. We

enjoyed Gaga, cotton candy, and carnival fun with friends new and old. If you’re

looking for more year round Gate Hill action visit www.gagamadness.com for our

spring classes.

Campers, parents, and staff from all around the world will be

sporting Gate Hill Gear to show their spirit. Send your pics

to buddy@gatehilldaycamp.com. We'll be posting them

online, so keep an eye on social media throughout the day.

If the summer swag just wasn't enough, remember you can

access our gear stores through the website on the “current

families” tab. Be sure to check out the cool logo options in the

apparel store, as well as the UV shirts in the GrUVy wear store.

Want to grab lunch and meet up with your camp friends? Designed for our youngest

campers and up through 3rd grade, our annual Spring Fling is Saturday, April 26th, from

12pm to 3pm. Enjoy our bounce zone, gaga, arts projects, face painting and more! Spring

Fling is an open event, we encourage you to bring friends and family who might be

interested in camp, tours will be available. To RSVP call or email with the number of adults

and children that plan to attend. See you there!

LIGHTENING THE LOAD

BATHING SUIT LAUNDRY As we work to improve the camper experience at Gate Hill, we also look for

opportunities to support our families at home. Programs like our towel service

help to make the summer experience smooth for parents. For 2014 we are very

excited to announce that Gate Hill will provide a bathing suit laundry servicebathing suit laundry servicebathing suit laundry servicebathing suit laundry service

for all on grounds campers as part of our full service amenities. Three suits will

be laundered throughout the week and returned to families for the weekend.
