Published Careers Programme
Our Careers Programme is delivered by qualified individuals with the right skills and experience to provide our Students with the impartial advice, guidance, experiences and knowledge that they need to make an informed choice about their future and the destination they progress to after their time at Winstanley College. Some of the activities below are applicable to all Students in a year group such as the Induction Assembly for year 12 while others will only apply to particular groups of Students such as the Oxbridge Tutorials for year 13.

Y11 Open Evenings – scheduled talks on the High Flyers programme and one-to-one discussions with Oxbridge & Academic Challenge tutors.
Y12 High Flyers are identified and their subject choices are analysed by the Academic Challenge team to ensure they are on the right courses to achieve their ambitions.
Y13 Subject specific tutorials for applicants with subject specialists and final drafting of personal statements plus guidance of university, college and course choices.
Y13 Intensive Aptitude Test Preparation in small tutorial groups for each test with a subject specialist tutor (BMAT, LNAT, HAT, TSA, MAT, PAT, ELAT etc.)
Y13 Individual mock Oxbridge interviews. Each applicant will undergo a minimum of 4 mock interviews and receive feedback for improvement with subject specialists, Academic Challenge tutors and Senior College Managers.
