After four Republican debates and with the rst primaries approaching,Republican candidates are feeling the pressure to beat the others and establishthemselves as the Republican frontrunner. Each debater hit dierent views ofother candidates, but all focused primarily on attempting to prove themselves as amore viable president than Hillary Clinton, the emocratic frontrunner. !pea"ingto a lled #ilwau"ee $heatre, candidates hoped to win over #ilwau"ee

Republicans in a debate ta"ing place in #ilwau"ee, %isc. on $uesday, &ov. '(.%ith the focus of the debate being primarily the economy, each candidate strivedto establish a positive inta"e on America)s economy and prove themselves to be thebest Republican candidate.

#y views on each candidate from the debate*Sen. Marco Rubio:+nce again, !enator Rubio spo"e elouently and shined during the debate, provinghis viability as a potential Republican frontrunner. -n my opinion, #r. Rubio wasetremely concise and didn)t bend under pressure, unli"e other candidates.$hroughout the debate, Rubio used his aggressive foreign policy to set a contrastbetween him and other non/interventionist candidates such as #r. 0eb 1ush. 2%ecan)t even have an economy if we)re not safe,3 #r. Rubio said. 2- "now that theworld is a safer and better place when America is the strongest military power inthe world.3#r. Rubio)s other main point focused on improving the economy without raisingthe minimum wage. 2$he American ream is the universal dream. Every countryhas rich people4 what ma"es America dierent is that we have millions of poorpeople,3 #r. Rubio said. 25et)s ma"e America the best place to start businesses.%e will be able to ma"e more people better o without ma"ing others worse o.3

As an etremely popular candidate among the Republicans, #r. Rubio had roars ofapproval with every argument he presented. However, despite #r. Rubio)spopularity, previous debates centered on the controversy around #r. Rubio)spersonal spending with the Republican 6arty)s credit card. 1ut surprisingly, nocandidates brought up arguments regarding the controversy in this debate.+verall, - greatly en7oyed #r. Rubio)s performance and anticipate him to be onethe most successful Republican candidates in this election. isregarding thecontroversy, #r. Rubio proved to be a successful debater and was well li"ed by#ilwau"ee.Sen. Ted Cruz:$he $eas !enator gave yet another well/li"ed performance at the debate, ensuringhim as a possible top Republican candidate. Critics primarily bashed #r. Cru8)sconservative 2anti/immigrant3 position, but Cru8 rose above and slammedmoderate Republican views on foreign policy. Agreeing with onald $rump, Cru8argued that 2the emocrats are laughing9because if Republicans 7oin emocratsas the party of amnesty, we will lose.3+ne problem that appeared with #r. Cru8)s performance was that when as"ed tomention ve agencies he would eliminate, #r. Cru8 only mentioned four, leavingout the epartment of Education and repeating the epartment of Commercetwice. 6ersonally, - believe that #r. Cru8 is a solid candidate for the Republicanparty and could have great success through the election. espite his forgetfulnessregarding the agencies, #r. Cru8 had valid points and argued well alongside theother candidates.Dr. Ben Carson:

-n all of the Republican debates, neurosurgeon r. 1en Carson established himselfas an elouent debater and highlighted his presidential ualities. As a top/ratedRepublican candidate, r. Carson "ept his cool unli"e his greatest competition, #r.onald $rump. uring the debate, the moderators primarily focused on thecontroversy behind r. Carson)s past4 Carson supposedly 2lied3 about getting ascholarship to %est 6oint #ilitary Academy. However, Carson argued that he was

an 2honest person3 and that the scandal was merely a 2misconception.3 Also,Carson received criticism regarding his statement that 2minimum wage has alwaysdamaged the economy43 Economists are re7ecting his claim.+verall, - believe that the most memorable part of r. Carson)s performance washis closing speech. Reminiscent of the memorable lines 2%e are all Republicans,we are all :ederalists3 from $homas 0eerson)s inaugural address, r. Carsonnarrated how 2we the emocrats, we the Republicans; must embrace nli"e other candidates,#r. 6aul was etremely libertarian in his views, and was constantly defendinghimself against the ma7ority of the Republican candidates, especially #r. Rubio.Compared to those in other debates, #r. 6aul)s performance was slightly better. However, despite his improvement, 6aul still remains a lowly ran"ed candidate.Gov. John Kasich:1eing one of the lowest/ran"ed candidates, ?ov. 0ohn @asich had to ght his wayfor any spea"er time. %ith only a few uestions directed at him, #r. @asichinterrupted many candidates and 7ostled his way into arguments. #r. @asich hasimplemented this strategy in previous debates, 7umping at every opportunity thataroused. However, despite this, @asich has had little to no upward movement in thepolls following the debates.Mrs. Carl Fiorina:

Mr. Donald Trum!:- was etremely surprised to see #r. $rump debating measuredly and clearly.6reviously, #r. $rump would easily get personal and would use any availableopportunity to bash other candidates. However, at this debate, #r. $rump stuc" topolicy debate and illustrated himself as a possible 6resident $rump.elivering well/reasoned, in/depth responses, #r. $rump greatly improved in hisdebating s"ills. Even while being critici8ed for his wildly conservative views onimmigration and foreign policy, #r. $rump stuc" to his message and didn)t getpersonal. :or the ma7ority of the debate, #r. $rump presented a better version ofhimself and only let his bashing personality get in the way once* #r. $rumpcritici8ed #rs. :iorina for constantly interrupting others, resulting in the crowdbooing with disapproval.

-n general, - was proud to see that #r. $rump was capable of "eeping his cool andta"ing a clear and conservative stance on the economic issues facing our country.
