This Mini Garage is one out of the matchbox!

BMW Auckland City (the owner and distributor of the mini brand) preferred to deal with one company to deliver the entire electrical package for their new showroom & garage, and one that had the ability to ‘integrate’ everything into a seamless interface.

Akon Electrical tendered for this and proposed the Control4 Touchscreen Solution which covered all the electrical, lighting, security, data, CCTV, audio and visual, and control for the various spaces of the Mini Garage.

In keeping with the aesthetic lines, and to avoid a wall ‘cluster’ of various control panels and switches, Akon’s team ingeniously designed and implemented a “communication” pathway system, enabling the various products and Control4 App to talk to each other.

A functional, yet creative workspace and show room – there’s nothing manual about this Garage – it’s automatic!

With their expertise in working in high hazardous areas, Clarkson Electrical was the ideal contractor to work on the upgrade of a filling station at Mt Maunganui.

The existing gantry had a new Accuload or ‘automated station’ installed – note here below the intrinsically safe cables in the lower junction box.

This fully automated system now allows fill loads to be monitored down to the last milliliter, and with the completely overhauled fire control system, the risks of working under constant vapour monitoring and hot work permits is mitigated.

So fueled by the need to create perfect work, Clarkson delivered.

The Historic Bats Theatre in central Wellington was gutted and then rebuilt – yet when you step inside it’s as if you have gone back in time.

The building is actually made up of three separate theatres, and it all looks original, but the brand new electrical fittings masquerade as vintage, and all wiring is meticulously hidden behind custom made panels.

The attention to detail is amazing, an example is the ceiling domes which look as though they are letting in natural light, but in fact are artificially lit.
