Inside cover

In its 13th season, Winnakee’s Tour of Historic Barns and Working Farms is a unique opportunity for behind-the-scenes viewings of some of the Hudson Valley’s most

treasured properties. The tour highlights Winnakee’s mission to protect our landscapes and to conserve our region’s natural resources and agricultural heritage, providing a

lasting legacy for generations to come. It also underscores our dedication to connecting people to the cultural and scenic resources of the Hudson Valley.

We hope you will join us October 5th!

Tour Starting Point: Clinton Historical Society

The Creek Meeting House is a fieldstone building built in 1777–1782 by the Society of Friends (Quakers). Today it is home to the Clinton Historical Society and shares a listing on the National Register of Historic Places with the Friends Cemetery that surrounds it.

Tour Ending & Reception Venue: Rhine Valley Farm

Rhine Valley Farm’s original farmhouse was built in 1788 and the property is strewn with many beautiful Dutch made barns dating over 200 years old. The estate includes 240 acres of lush forests, rocky mountain crests, a swimming pond and lake, golden summer fields, a 20,000 square foot riding rink, flower gardens and two acres of seasonal biodynamic vegetables gardens.
