Network Configuration SheetBefore connecting your appliance to the network, you should note the following information:

    External Adapter IP Information

The External IP address is the network adapter associated with the External network. If your Internet

service provider (ISP) has a static IP address, you can use that IP address and do not need this

information. If you are using your own external IP address or your own Domain Name System (DNS)

server, you can enter this information during setup.

Primary External adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

    Primary Subnet mask: _______._______._______._______

Additional External adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

Additional External adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

Additional External adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

    Default Gateway: _______._______._______._______

    Internal Adapter IP Information

The Internal IP address is the network adapter associated with the Internal network.

Primary Internal adapter IP Address: _______._______._______._______

    Subnet mask: _______._______._______._______

Additional Internal adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

Additional Internal adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

Additional Internal adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

    Default Gateway:

    DMZ Adapter IP Information

You may have a perimeter network and want to connect to it. The DMZ IP address is the network

adapter associated with the DMZ. Usually, you should assign a static IP address during setup. If you

have a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server and intend to automatically assign an

IP address to your DMZ interface, you do not need to provide the address during setup. The number

of DMZ interfaces supported may vary between Appliance models.

    DMZ1 adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

    DMZ1 Subnet mask: _______._______._______._______

    DMZ2 adapter IP address: _______._______._______._______

    DMZ2 Subnet mask: _______._______._______._______

    Domain Name Service (DNS) Servers

Your appliance must be assigned DNS Servers details. You can specify remote DNS servers or use a

    local DNS Server service.

Use Local DNS Server (circle): YES / NO

    Preferred DNS server: _______._______._______._______

    Alternate DNS server: _______._______._______._______

DNS Server Location (circle): Internal / External

    Computer Name

Your appliance must be assigned a computer name. The name must be 15 characters or less.

    Computer name: ____________________________________

    Workgroup or Domain Name

You can choose to join a workgroup or a domain. By default, the appliance is a member of aworkgroup called workgroup. You can use the same workgroup name already in use on your

network, or create a new name. This name must be 15 characters or less.

Note that you can join a domain after Setup completes.

    Name: _______________________________

    Type (circle): Workgroup / Domain

Administrator PasswordThe administrator password is the main account which would be used to log on to the appliance.

You should change the default password as soon as possible after setting up the appliance.

    The default password is: Pa55w0rd

Create an administrator password that has at least 6 characters and contains a mix of uppercase and

    lowercase letters, numbers, and non-alphanumeric characters (for example, !, $, #, %).

    Certificates

In certain appliance deployments, SSL certificates are required. The Winfrasoft Appliance

Configuration Wizard provides the ability for administrators to generate their own self-signed

certificates to simplify the initial deployment. Certificate names MUST match the DNS name being

used for a particular application or web site.

Enter the DNS names of required certificates here:

    Certificate 1: _______________________________

    Certificate 2: _______________________________

    Certificate 3: _______________________________

    Note

For security reasons, it is recommended that any hard copy notes taken to

memorize this password will be either destroyed as soon as possible or

    stored securely.

    Serial Number & Product Key

It is highly recommended that the Appliance serial number and Windows Product key is recordedhere.

    Routing Table

A routing table is a set of rules, often viewed in table format, that is used to determine where datapacketstravelling over anInternet Protocol (IP) network will be directed. All IP-enabled devices,

    includingroutersandswitches, use routing tables.

When an appliance has more than one network interface the Default Gateway is typically placed on

the External NIC to allow for routing to the Internet. Since there can only be one default gateway the

IP ranges used on the Internal network must be assigned in the routing table.
