Print Screen

The following steps are to be used to create a Print Screen of an image on the computer screen:

1. Create the print screen you want to copy. In other words, if you want to look at all the programs you have on your computer, click Start, All Programs. This will give you something to copy.

1. Press the Print Screen button located in the top right row of your keyboard. Think of this like taking a picture of your screen. What you see on the screen when you press the Print Screen button is what is capture in the picture. You will not see anything happen as you press the Print Screen button.

1. Now you want to place the picture in another program. This will allow you to print the picture of the screen. In this case we will work with a program called Paint. Open Paint by clicking Start, Programs, Accessories, and Paint. You will have a blank, white screen.

1. Go to Paste located in the Clipboard group located in the top, left corner of your computer screen. Click on the arrow under the word Paste. Now click Paste. A picture of what you captured when you pressed the print screen button appears.

Printing

1. Click the down pointing arrow to the right of the box located above the Paste button. Now place your pointer over the word Print.

2. Now move your cursor over the word Page Setup and Click. Notice the Page Setup Dialog Box appears.

3. Under the Orientation area, point and click in the circle next to the word Landscape.

4. Under the Scaling area, point and click in the circle next to Fit to. Make sure that both boxes have the number 1.

5. Click OK.

6. Go back to the Paint button located above the Paste button. Click the arrow and click Print. The Print Dialog Box appears. Click Print to print your document.
