WINDOWS AZURE CASE STUDY

Provider Simplifies ERP in the Cloud

Acumatica set out to create an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for small and midsize (SMB) companies that would reduce the complexities of this mission-critical application and make it available as a cloud service. It sought to make sure that customers could choose options including deployment, payment, data storage, and data access—and to simplify the ERP experience.

Acumatica uses the Windows Azure array of controls to meet the needs of a diverse customer base with vastly differing requirements. Thanks to Windows Azure, Acumatica is able to:• Offer customers a centralized management and monitoring

solution.• Service worldwide customers with geographically dispersed data

centers.• Offer better confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer

data. • Enjoy a highly efficient environment for creating sandboxes and

managing customer migrations from version to version. • Provision new instances easily and give new customers access

within minutes, which drives rapid time-to-productivity for customers.

• Scale performance quickly as customer demands change.

“Thanks to Windows Azure automated replication with multiple redundant copies of data to multiple physical servers, Acumatica is able to ensure high availability and business continuity for its customers.” – Ali Jani, VP of Services and Product Management, Acumatica
