  • Windows 8 Virtual Keyboard

    On the Samsung Series 7 Slate running Windows 8, multiple virtual keyboards

    are available. The following guide demonstrates switching between the

    multiple keyboards available.

    1. Before looking at the Virtual

    Keyboard, lets take a minute to

    confirm that the standard

    keyboard layout is available.

    From the Windows 8 Start screen,

    swipe from the right edge to

    display the Charms bar

    2. Select Settings, then select

    Chante PC settings at the

    bottom of the screen

    3. On the PC settings screen, select

    the General tab

  • 4. At the bottom of the screen, set

    the Make the standard keyboard

    layout available to on

    5. From the Windows desktop,

    select the Keyboard icon at the

    lower right of the taskbar

    6. The default Virtual Keyboard is

    maximizes key size by eliminating

    the row of number keys above

    the Q U E R T Y row

  • 7. Tapping the &123 key at the

    lower left displays the number

    pad and standard mathematical

    symbols

    8. Tapping the keyboard icon at the

    lower right displays the various

    Virtual Keyboards that are

    available for use

    9. Selecting the fourth icon displays

    the standard Virtual Keyboard

    The standard keyboard includes

    the top row of number keys,

    along with the standard esc, tab,

    caps, shift, fn, crtl, and alt keys
