Greengs in the Name of our Lord Jesus! What a strange summer we have had, alternang between floods and intense humid heat. Now would be the me to really get into reading God’s Word, let your very being become saturated with everything about Him. Ask God to show you where to read and what to read, He will gladly direct you. We all have to work at relaonships and one’s heart can gradually harden when we aren’t seeking that inmacy with God. Pray, Lord, I want Your will – no maer what. Strengthen me for the tasks that lay ahead. The more you study and pray, the closer you will draw to Him and God will use you to touch others. You may be the bridge God would use to bring people to Himself. We can spur one another toward Christlike- ness. Strong relaonships begin with men and women who decide to risk their pride and comfort in order to love as Jesus does. I urge you to go into the world today, being aware of God’s presence with you. Pray before you go, asking God to let you know of ones that are needing to hear from you about Him, asking Him to go before you and prepare that persons heart to be recepve. Be a sign of God to those who feel alienated, strangers to God’s hope. Express God’s divine promise. Allow God to dwell in and through you. Sense God’s love flowing through you to those without hope. Jesus’s death and resurrecon redeems us and all of creaon. You are a sancfied child of God. Sancficaon means being set apart, chosen by God to be his holy child. Take this knowledge and wonderful giſt out into the hungry harvest fields. They are ripe and waing just to hear from you! All the perfect qualies of Jesus are inside of you going along to let people see Him, ask Him to give you the right words that will speak to their hearts. “Let my words always be true and honest, honoring You oh Lord, in all that I represent – You!!” The mission is great but I know without a doubt that you are up to the task; He has empowered you to this very loving request!! • Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus!

What a strange summer we have had, alternating between floods and intense humid heat.

Now would be the time to really get into reading God’s Word, let your very being become saturated with everything about Him. Ask God to show you where to read and what to read, He will gladly direct you. We all have to work at relationships and one’s heart can gradually harden when we aren’t seeking that intimacy with God. Pray, Lord, I want Your will – no matter what. Strengthen me for the tasks that lay ahead. The more you study and pray, the closer you will draw to Him and God will use you to touch others. You may be the bridge God would use to bring people to Himself. We can spur one another toward Christlike-ness. Strong relationships begin with men and women who decide to risk their pride and comfort in order to love as Jesus does.

I urge you to go into the world today, being aware of God’s presence with you. Pray before you go, asking God to let you know of ones that are needing to hear from you about Him, asking Him to go before you and prepare that persons heart to be receptive. Be a sign of God to those who feel alienated, strangers to God’s hope. Express God’s divine promise. Allow God to dwell in and through you. Sense God’s love flowing through you to those without hope. Jesus’s death and resurrection redeems us and all of creation. You are a sanctified child of God. Sanctification means being set apart, chosen by God to be his holy child. Take this knowledge and wonderful gift out into the hungry harvest fields. They are ripe and waiting just to hear from you!

All the perfect qualities of Jesus are inside of you going along to let people see Him, ask Him to give you the right words that will speak to their hearts. “Let my words always be true and honest, honoring You oh Lord, in all that I represent – You!!”

The mission is great but I know without a doubt that you are up to the task; He has empowered you to this very loving request!! Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15

  • Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy faithfulness!

    Morning by morning new mercies I see;

    all I have needed thy hand hath provided;

great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!"

    (words by Thomas O. Chisholm)

As I went for my walk this morning, these words kept going through my mind. This hymn is one I have sung since I was very young; these words I know by heart. God knew I needed to hear these words and be drawn to HIM...maybe you do too!

It is a reminder that wherever we are on the journey as individuals, as a family, as a church...great is HIS faithfulness all day, every day and in all the days to come! We may not understand HIS ways (and believe me, there is much I don't understand) yet one of our greatest challenges is to believe in HIM, to trust in HIM and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that HE is faithful to walk on that journey beside us, never leaving us and never forsaking us!

I know I fail in this quest more often than I care to admit. I also know HE gives me the opportunity to start over every day (sometimes several times a day) for HIS mercies are new every morning...every morning!

Blessed to be on the journey with you, Julie Clark

I would like to take this opportunity to say a special “Thank You” to Lisa Miller. She has been publishing our newsletter for quite some time. I personally know the time restraints that she felt between work, family and school. We definitely

appreciate the time she put those things aside for “Our Church”. I’m hoping that I can carry on the great job that she has done. Again Lisa, I say thank you from all of us.

  • Our Ladies Book Club has continued and as

always we invite anyone who might like to

join us to “come on down”! I will include a

list here but there is a posted list of our up-

coming books month by month and location

of meeting place (which is updated) on the

corkboard by both doors of the church. Just because you may be unable to join us for our gath-

ering, free to read the books anyway - there are a couple ladies doing this already and I know

they have been blessed by taking part on their own!

August 6 discussion will be on “Annie Freeman’s Fabulous Traveling Funeral” by Kris Radish.

Louise Sands will be hosting at the church .

September 3 discussion will be on “The Reluctant Prophet” by Nancy Rue. Location TBA

October 1 discussion will be on “Deep Down Dark” by Hector Tobar. Location TBA.

All gatherings begin at 5:30pm unless otherwise stated. If you have questions, please call Julie

    Clark.

Men’s breakfast will start back up in Septem-

ber. Last Saturday of the month. All men are

invited as we will again be sharing our time

with the Nelson men’s group. This year we will

be picking a mission to collect for . So if you

have a specific cause that would benefit from

    our contributions , join us.

  • Looking for adult help to assist the kids

with pine wood derby cars. They are a

bit out of our age bracket, so the as-

sembly and design could be a team

effort. With the kids input and the

adult skills we should be able to assemble some great racers – When they are fin-

ished we will have a race day

September we usually have a kick off for

youth group. With so many younger kids

maybe we could do a carnival instead - each

group in the church ( missions, choir, finance,

men’s group, etc.) can manage a booth - ring

toss – fish derby – face painting – sponge

toss . If we plan it early enough we can invite the community kids also (how about

the kids who come to our mission breakfasts). Alan’s idea so talk to him if you are

    interested.

Would like to start a group study. Monday or Tuesday in the

morning. This will be more of a faith study than a bible study.

Everyone is experiencing their faith differently, and putting that

faith into action. We will be using the book “ The 150 most im-

portant Bible Verses” as a catalyst for our discussions. Would like

to start with at least 5 people. See Alan or Stacy if interested.

    BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES

  • A NEW SCHOOL YEAR IS BEGINNING SOON!

Prayers to Begin a School Year

God of wisdom and might, we praise you for the wonder of our being, for mind, body and spirit. Be with our children as they begin a new school year. Bless them and their teachers and staff. Give the strength and grace as their bodies grow; wisdom and knowledge to their minds as they search for understanding; and peace and zeal to their hearts. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    Prayer for Students

Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround us with the mysteries of the universe. Send your spirit upon these students and fill them with your wisdom and blessings. Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies and draw ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

    Prayer for Teachers

Lord God, your spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us in your ways. Look upon these teachers. Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds. Grant that we may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the life, forever and ever. Amen.
