Beth Wood is a Certified Public Accountant in her third term as North Carolina’s elected State Auditor.?She is a long-time public servant with nearly 25 years of auditing experience, having worked in the Auditor’s Office for nearly 10 years before her election in 2008 and also in the State Treasurer’s Office. Before that, she worked for several companies in the private sector. She is the first woman elected State Auditor in North Carolina.? Through her work as State Auditor, Beth has helped strengthen and improve state government.?Audit teams across the state watch every area of state government for potential savings and smart use of taxpayer dollars. As a result, audits published by OSA during her tenure have identified millions of dollars of potential savings. OSA, Who we are, What we do, and How it affects you, is a presentation about how the State Auditor’s Office looks after the $20 billion in state tax dollars to make sure we keep our AAA bond rating and also how we take on cases of wasteful, abusive and inefficient spending of taxpayer dollars. The presentation centers on the Office of the State Auditor and its impact on North Carolina citizens. Auditor Wood will include topics such as: The types of audits performed Who is audited The things that are found as a result of these audits How these findings affect the individual citizens of North Carolina Proposed Board - 2018 - 2019 Please review the proposed board - we will vote on final approval this Friday at our meeting.

Grant Training - Required Training

Grants Training - February 13, 2018 - On Line Training

As part of grant qualification, at least one member of a club must attendGrants Training.

Areas - why not join together and meet at one location and watchtogether!

The training starts at 6:30 pm.

When you register, you will receive an email that contains the dial upinformation.

Only one person from the club needs to attend in order to complete one of therequirements for a District Grant. So if you cannot attend, please ask the person fromyour club who will attend on behalf of the club to register.

It will be an on-line training. Space is limited so sign up as soon as possible. Presidentsbe diligent in asking someone in the club to sign up if you are not that person.
