ActivitiesWe understand the importance of independence and encourage our residents to participate in the many varied and regular activities. These include gentle exercise, bingo, cards, cinema nights, carpet bowls, art classes, music and regular celebrations for the residents and their families.

Willow Green Care Home is ideally situated within easy distance from the centre of the market town of Darlington in County Durham. It is also a short drive from Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar. The Home is purpose built offering spacious accommodation with beautifully decorated rooms in homely surroundings with relaxing gardens.

Our careEach element of care provided by the Home is bespoke. Residents’ specific nutritional, social and healthcare preferences are recorded and incorporated into person-centred care plans.

Residential Care

Residents are supported so they can continue to enjoy their own independence whilst having the assistance and encouragement of staff who provide the care they need at any time of the day. We encourage residents to participate in the social side of living in a home but also respect their need for privacy.

Nursing Care

Willow Green also caters for residents with nursing needs both general and dementia. The nursing team is comprised of highly trained nurses who deliver bespoke personal care.

Memory CareSt Martins Care is passionate about caring for people with dementia. Specially designed environments have been created that are safe, engaging and stimulating. Our training programme ensures that relevant staff are trained to the required level in dementia care. We have dedicated activity co-ordinators for residents with memory problems. Activity programmes are designed around real life pursuits such as cooking, gardening, cleaning and individual activity is identified through ‘Life Story Work’.Our aim is to promote a positive care experience to ensure they continue to live fulfilled enjoyable lives with value, dignity and respect.

Respite CareRespite Care is available to individuals requiring a short break from home or convalescence after a treatment in hospital. It is also an option for those uncertain about moving to a care home permanently by offering them the opportunity to ‘experience’ daily life in a home.
