    Affectionate Brother & Sister

    I think my self happy in having an opportunity to write to you to let you know that I am well at

    present & hope these lines will find you enjoying the same blessing

    I have been a short journey to the eastward & was gone about eight Days and came home

    yesterday I was at Fraziers & Connerss they were all well Except Conners who hurt his leg very

    bad at least his ancle which was put out & some of the [?] supposed to be split Ruth has another

    daughter about six weeks old & they call her name Martha.

    We havent heard from you since I was there Last fall MrL Rich is a going right by where you

    live and I expect to send this letter by him and desired him to call & leave it [???] glad you

    wantd take the trouble to write a letter against he comes back & send it down by him & write

    whether you expect to go to Longisland next fall or not.

    Daddes family is all well as usual Anna had a Swelling on her left arm which continued about

    [six?] weeks before she could use it, it is about well now

    John & his wife as well as common Anna has got a swelling between her shoulder & breast on

    her right side but it was lanced yesterday.

    They all send their respects to you to Uncle Pecks to Reuben & his family to [?] Wing & his wife

    & [?] of the family and to all enquiring Friends

    And I wish you all to accept the same from me

    Wishing you all Peace Happiness & Prosperity am [?] my self your Friend &c

    Happy for America MrT. jefferson is at the head of government May he live Long and be a

    blessing to the united States May he ever support the constitution & the rights of men and may

    Every true friend to his country be safe under his protection.
