William Shakespeare

Early Life
• William Shakespeare was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon on April 26, 1564.
• William was the third child of John Shakespeare and Mary Arden.
Education
• He most likely attended the King’s New School, in Stratford, which taught reading, writing and the classics.
• Shakespeare most likely began his education at the age of six or seven at the Stratford grammar school
• They have no record of Shakespeare attending the school
End Of Life
• Shakespeare died on April 23 year 1616, in his house
• Though many scholars believe this is a myth most think that he died on his birthday
• In his will, he left the most of his possessions to his eldest
daughter, Susanna.
Major Works
• By 1592, William Shakespeare earned a living as an actor and a playwright in London and had several plays produced
• By the early 1590s, William Shakespeare was a managing partner in the Lord Chamberlain's Men
• In William Shakespeare's final period, he wrote several tragicomedies
