Email: [email protected] Experience April 2015 – June 2016 M/Y Forever One BosunI joined Forever One in April 2015 in Palma de Mallorca. Straight after joining, the owner boarded and we had a busy two months in the Balearics. We then spent the rest of the summer in Scandinavia. The boat is in full time use by the owner during summer months. I found this very different from previous yachts, however I enjoyed the day to day duties and close relationships formed with the owners and guests.I had a great time settling into the role of Bosun and enjoyed working with the deckhands in a more senior role; I was allowed more and more responsibilities on deck and thoroughly enjoyed planning, teaching and completing deck projects during an extensive yard period between October 2015 - May 2016. I was solely in charge of driving the Owner’s prized luxury tender and taught deckhands tender skills when possible. Reason for leaving. I left Forever One on good terms with all the crew and now seek a couple’s position with my Fiancé.

April 2013 – February 2015 M/Y Sunrays 86m Lead Hand/Relief Bosun I joined Sunrays in Cartagena shipyard in April 2013. I completed two busy Mediterranean seasons, one winter season in Dubai and was involved in 3 extensive yard periods 1 of which, a 5-year refit. Sunrays is an extremely busy Yacht where one season quickly runs into another. Turn around of the boat had to be very well organised and efficient in order to be ready for guest trips. Calm thinking and working under pressure was always essential. Guest activities could turn chaotic if not dealt with in an organised and professional manner.During my time on Sunrays my hard work and loyalty were rewarded with higher responsibilities. I had a lot of drive time on the 15m Windy chase boat and was asked to skipper it from St. Tropez to Ibiza via Barcelona and Valencia with an interior crewmember as my lookout. Leadership on deck was a daily task as many of the deckhands were ‘green’ to the Industry. I covered the Bosun during his leave periods and was required for relief to cover his sick leave also. Sunrays was a fantastic challenge for me, I particularly enjoyed teaching the deck crew how to complete maintenance jobs from start to finish.Reason for leaving. I left Sunrays on good terms with all crew and am now seeking a position as Bosun, as there was no opportunity of this on Sunrays.

October 2011 – April 2013 M/Y Maracunda - 53m Deckhand I joined Maracunda in Qatar in October 2012. I completed two busy summer seasons on board and enjoyed the challenge of working in the Middle East heat and high guest expectations during trips. The boat was regularly used by the high profile family who own her, so utmost professionalism with and around guests was always important. Respect for another culture and adhering to their expectations of behaviour and conduct served as valuable lessons.I was involved in two extensive yard periods, during these I was trained and allowed to practice and perfect paint, teak and varnish repairs/projects.Along with solid tender driving skills, I also gained experience with ISM checks and records, navigational watches and chart corrections.Reason for leaving: I left with good relations with all crew. I wished to experience yachting seasons in new parts of the world.

September 2012 – October 2012 Al Shoua M/Y 57m DeckhandDelivery of M/Y Al Shoua from Doha, Qatar to Victoria, Seychelles.
