Catholic Traditions for All Saints Day
-Stephen Connelly
Every year on November 1, we celebrate All Saints Day, also
known as the Feast of All Saints. As the name implies, this occasion honors all those who have entered heaven and these
include the saints who are recognized by the Catholic Church
and those who are not.
*Read stories about the lives of saints
*Ask the saints to intercede
*Have children dress up as their favorite saints
*Host an All Saints Day get-together
*Carve pumpkins with Catholic Faith symbols
*Give All Saints Day gifts
*Meditate upon the Word of God

your celebration of the Saints visit https://

October 27: Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time IIn this Sunday’s Gospel, the tax collector’s prayer allows God to be God and so allows God to pour mercy into his heart. When we pray and give alms to the poor, we allow God’s mercy to be poured into their hearts. In the month of October, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring God’s love and mercy to many families, providing food, and financial assistance for utility and rent bills, etc. Thank You!
This year St. Vincent de Paul will, once again distribute Christmas boxes for a good Christmas meal to approximately 100 families. The sign-up period ends Friday, November 15th, or when we reach 100 names. Please contact your parish secretary to register for a Christmas Box.
