Hecla Mine Strike Driving Tour

SAT, April 19 9:00AM (meet in front of Blue Parrot)

To mark the 100th anniversary of this

significant historical event in Colorado, join

us for a driving tour of Louisville locations

that were important in the 1914 Hecla strike

conflict.

Ron Buffo will provide details at select stops

along the route. Participants must provide

own transportation. Rain date, April 26.

Curatorial Cleaning of Louisville’s Antique Safe

Basics of Backyard Composting

TUE, April 28 6:00-8PM

At this free workshop , you’ll learn how to start and

maintain a highly efficient backyard compost system by

learning what to feed your compost pile, appropriate

bins and methods for our region, tips, troubleshooting,

and much more. This workshop is taught by Melanie

Burow, a Master Composter in Colorado. A limited

number of bins will be available for purchase at a cost of

$50 each.
