Waste Management will hold two free green waste drop off events at the McCourtney Road Transfer Station. Bring you green waste to the facility on August 17 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for free disposal. Curbside Green Waste Collection You don’t have to wait for the green waste event to get rid of your green waste, we’ll haul it away from your curbside. Waste Management offers affordable green waste service so you don’t have to make the trip to McCourtney Road Transfer Station. All you have to do is sign up for green waste disposal - it’s less than half the cost of self-hauling to McCourtney Road Transfer Station! Call customer service at 530- 274-3090 to sign up for green waste service. WILDFIRE IS COMING ARE YOU READY? Maintain 100 feet of defensible space around your home. Thin trees and limbs, as well as remove ladder fuels to provide firefighters the space they need to defend your home. Create a buffer zone by removing fuels that allow fire to climb from the landscape into the tree canopy. Common fuel ladders include: tall grasses, shrubs, juvenile trees, and low hanging branches. As much as 92% of our community is located within High and Very-High Fire Hazard Severity Zones. We made it easy to dispose hazardous vegetation.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: Green Waste is biomass consisting of all tree and plant trimmings, dead plants, weeds, leaves, branches, and similar materials that fit into a Green Waste Cart. Items with a diameter greater than 6 inches, tree stumps and root balls will not be accepted.
