SBDM SEEKS INPUT ON BOND PLANS FOR WOODROWSBDM is asking for your comments on Bond Plans for Woodrow. Please see the below

information from Rick Wamre and send any comments to Rick Wamre, SBDM Chairman [email protected].

At Tuesday's meeting, we discussed the pending $13 million,15,000-square-foot, bond-enabled building addition to Woodrow, scheduled to begin construction in 2011. SBDM FacilitiesChairman Troy Harper has been seeking input from the Woodrow community regarding whatultimately should be constructed. Troy needs your input no later than February 28 in order tokeep with the design/construction timetable. Troy has asked me to include the link to the pdf thatoutlines the overall issues being considered to become a part of the bond program:http://woodrowwildcats.org/public_html/attachments/061_Woodrow%20suggested%20bond

%20items%5B1%5D.pdfIf you have any comments or suggestions, please send them to me on or before February 28, and I'll

forward them to Troy. Obviously, not every idea can be implemented for economic and spacereasons, but Troy and his committee are working to meld the suggestions they have received (and

will receive) with the budget limitations that come with the bond program.

Also, if you are an SBDM member (or wanna-be), would you please click on the link belowand add your personal information (name, connection to the school, etc.). In the past, DISD has

CLASS OF 2012 TO HOLD YARD SALE

The Class of 2012 will host a yard sale on Saturday, April 24 at the YMCA on Gaston. This is great motivation to

begin Spring Cleaning! Attack those closets, drawers, and attics! Set aside items for the Yard Sale. We will beasking people to help man the tables on the day of the sale as well as other jobs. For now, please begin setting asideitems and asking friends and family to do the same. In the event of rain, the yard sale will be held the following

week (Saturday May 1.) Thanks to the Y for graciously allowing us the use of their property. Thanks also to Tom

Patterson for putting this together. Kim Westerbeck is the lead parent sponsor for this fund raiser but will needlots of help from students and parents. Kim's email [email protected].
