Outlast Technologies Continues Partnership with Wigwam to Expand Performace Sock Line
Three New Sock Styles Feature Innovative Performance Designs
February 28, 2012 – Boulder, CO. – Outlast Technologies, leader in heat management, is
continuing its partnership with Wigwam to expand its performance sock line with Outlast®
technology. The latest snow styles that feature new performance designs include the Outlast®
Snow Carnival, Outlast® Snow Blur and Kids Outlast® Snow Hyper. Socks with Outlast®
technology interact with the microclimate next to feet to buffer changes in temperature and
humidity, thus reducing perspiration by up to 44 percent.
The Outlast® Snow Carnival is an ultra-lightweight sock that helps balance the foot’s
temperature for increased comfort. It has a precise boot fit and a seamless toe closure. The
Outlast® Snow Blur is a mid-weight, fully cushioned style that will hold up well—ideal for the ski
or snowboard fanatic. The Kids Outlast® Snow Hyper is a mid-weight ski or snowboard sock that
not only has a stay put top, but also a seamless toe closure for a comfortable fit. All three
Outlast® styles help to balance foot temperature by keeping them warm when they need to be
warm and cool when they need to be cool.
“We’ve partnered with Outlast Technologies for over a decade because of the value-add their
technology brings to our product offerings,” said Robert Chesebro, CEO at Wigwam Mills Inc.
“Wigwam focuses on creating an experience for consumers when they wear our socks, which
we’re able to achieve with the proactive temperature regulating solution Outlast provides.”

As a proactive moisture management solution, Outlast® products continually absorb excess body
heat and release it to maintain constant body temperature. The environment around the foot
ends up staying drier for a “just right” feel. This differentiates from passive technologies, such
as wicking or quick-drying, which provide benefits only after the body has started to overheat
and sweat.
“Constant movement within a shoe leads to extra heat and moisture build up, which can cause
blistering and odor,” said Heather Manuel, Outlast North America sales and marketing director.
“By incorporating Outlast® technology into Wigwams socks, we’re able to control moisture before
it begins for increased comfort.”
The Outlast® Snow Carnival and Outlast® Snow Blur socks by Wigwam will retail at $36 and $27,
respectively. The Outlast® Snow Hyper socks will retail for $17. For more information and to
