Changing the name of our magazine

When we first looked at music magazines in search of a name, we were not sure on what would be a good choice. We wanted a name that would appeal to our target audience but we wasn’t sure how to do this. We wanted our name to have a meaning, a meaning that would relate to R&B. When we first searched for a name, we looked them up on the Internet and chose a few that we thought were effective (these are in our planning). After analysing the names, we chose to use ‘Seeing Funk’. We chose this because we thought that it was effective within our genre of music. However, after doing more research into existing music magazines, we realised that most of the names were at longest four letters long. We realised that by adding a shorter title, it had a much better effect, it also looked better on the layout of the page. So after this, we decided to shorten the name to just ‘Funk’. We felt like this was a more conventional name to use for our music magazine.
