UTAMU has four fully �edged academic schools under which all programmes are taught, monitored and managed:

Academic Pro�le:

The School oversees graduate training, research and programmes run by UTAMU and those run jointly with partner universities.

All UTAMU postgraduate programmes are equivalent to 1st year of a related Master’s programmes at UTAMU.

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) holders will be admitted to 2nd year of the corresponding Master's programme only when the PGD is obtained from a recognised institution and the courses done are assessed.

The school seeks to spur development through advancing technology.Programmes in this school are carefully designed to o�er students a worth-while learning experience in areas of science, computing and engineering.

The school provides apprenticeships-based technical and vocational education programmes, undergraduate diplomas and intentionally recognised professional training.

UTAMU in partnership with Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) o�ers PhD programmes with an aim of enriching, learning and teaching processes through knowledge exchange programmes, research and innovation.

Below are collaborative programmes o�ered with Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Former Vice President of the Republic of Kenya and the founding Chancellor of UTAMU, H.E Hon. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka handing an award to the best undergraduate student in the School of Business And Management (SBM) , Aliganyira Mourice who acquired a CGPA=4.41, at the 2nd Graduation Ceremony held 30th September 2016.

The fees structure for international students is as follows:

NOTE: International students applying to any UTAMU programme accredited by the National Council for Higher Education should pay an application fee of USD 30.

All UTAMU undergraduate diploma graduates are considered to enroll for 2nd year in related undergraduate degree programmes at UTAMU.

The Foundation Certi�cate programme is a two semester course lasting 8 months that enables international students with an equivalent of UCE to join our undergraduate degree programmes.Direct Entry: To qualify for admission, one must have; completed atleast 11 years of schooling or equivalet for O’ level in Kenya / Burundi / South Sudan or 5 passes in O‘level education or its equivalent. Certi�cate Entry: Completed atleast 11 years of schooling or equivalent for O’ level in Kenya / Burundi / South Sudan, 3 passes at ‘O’ level or a (9) months certi�cate from a recognized institution. A' Level graduates entry Scheme: Non-Ugandans with (UCE) and (UACE), at least �ve (5) passes in UCE or at least either two (2) subsidiary passes or one (1) principle pass in UACE qualify.
