Headline sponsor at ICIS World Base Oils & Lubricants Conference 2020Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company (Luberef) is a leading producer and supplier of base oils in Saudi Arabia and exports its products across the world. It has two refineries, in Jeddah and Yanbu, processing Arab light crude oil.

As an existing customer, Luberef worked with ICIS to help launch the Lubehub Lubricants Value Park they are building with capital investment from the Royal Commission for Yanbu They will be providing the land and utilities and Luberef will be providing the feedstock and building the pipelines and meters to each customer. Financial incentives are being offered directly to interested investors from SAGIA. The park can accommodate eight to 10 new plants for rubber, blenders, transformer oils and cosmetics, with Luberef providing the piping and feedstock.

The ICIS World Base Oils & Lubricants conference is a well-established global event and is regarded as the key meeting place for the industry to connect and do business. Sponsorship of this flagship event was pivotal to Luberef’s search for investment from key players in the base oils community. Company representatives reached interested parties through two commercial showcases and held in-depth conversations on the Luberef exhibition stand

As a direct result of sponsoring the ICIS World Base Oils & Lubricants Conference, Luberef is negotiating with a company that intends to build a facility in the Lubehub to process rubber oil using Luberef products.
