A dream city, because in every minute there are a number of people come here to make their destiny. It is a Bollywood city, and a home of millionaire and billionaire. It is the second most populous city in India, and it is a capital city of “Maharashtra”.

Mumbai, people often call it a dream city. A city, which never sleeps, if you come across the road at mid

night or any hour in the night, the crowd is still there. A dream city, because in every minute there are a

number of people come here to make their destiny. It is a Bollywood city, and a home of millionaire and

billionaire. It is the second most populous city in India, and it is a capital city of Maharashtra .

The city built on seven islands namely, Bombay Island, Parel, Mazagaon, Mahim, Colaba, Worli, and Old

Wo a ’s Island (also known as Little Colaba).

First of all, you can see a world Heritage monument by standing on the road, Chatrapati Shivaji

Ter i al which is named after the great Maratha warrior Chatrapati Shivaji. It is influenced by Victorian

Italianate Gothic Revival architecture and traditional Mughal buildings, the station was built in 1887 in

the Bori Bunder area of the city to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria.

The Gate ay of I dia is much similar to Taj Mahal in Agra. It is located on the waterfront in Apollo

Bunder area in south Mumbai and overlooks the Arabian Sea. It was built in the 20th century. Its

structure is a basalt arch, 85 feet high. It is a model of Ganga – Jamuni Tahzeeb (Hindu – Muslim

culture), yes, it is built in Hindu – Muslim architectural style, the arch is built in Muslim style while the

decorations are in Hindu style. It is one of the hot spots in the city, always crowdy, when you will in the

Next is Siddhivinayak Te ple is a Lord Ganesha temple originally built in 19 November, 1801 by

Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil. It is a gut belief of devotees that Lord Ganesha full their wishes. The

inner roof of the sanctum is plated with gold and the wooden doors of the sanctum are carved with

images of Ashtavinayak . It has a huge temple complex in that a Hanuman temple is also there. It is a

five storeys building which consist of a hospital and a kitchen.

Next divine place is Haji Ali Dargah where every Thursday and Friday regardless of the religion

thousands of devotees are coming here. It is located on an islet off the Worli in the southern part of the

city. The Dargah is an exquisite example of the Indo – Islamic architecture; it is a tomb of Sayyed Peer

dargah is built on 500 meters from the coast in the middle of the Worli Bay. The accessibility of the

The local Mumbai people refer the city as Amachi Mu bai in Marathi, to show their love to their
