OURSERVICES


FF&E PROCUREMENTWe act independently on behalf of the Client to procure all FF&E items directly from the manufacturers. This will ensure that the Client has direct control over every individual

price component and achieves the best buying prices available. The appointment of a Procurement Consultant such as FEBC also gives the Client total control over its

purchases: allowing the Client to rest assured that it will be acquiring items at the best price available, direct from source, with no intermediate margins and of the specified

quality .

At this stage, FEBC will meet withthe Client, the designer and theoperator to discuss the designintent and appoint a quantitysurveyor. We will establish leadtimes with the Client, constructioncontractor, hotel operator, andfinally agree a reporting system.We will also determine the impactof freight, import duties,insurances and consider ways ofminimizing overall costs, finallyagreeing on an initial procurementplan.

DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

Here we analyze the quantitysurveyor’s data with the Client, thedesigner and the operator. Wethen agree a purchasing policyand decide on a delivery timetable.FEBC then uses its global database to identify suitable sources ofsupply, negotiates the bestpossible conditions with suppliers,submits cost estimates andestablishes a budget with theClient. Thereafter, we procure andinstall the mock-up rooms asinstructed by the Client and theoperator.

PRE PROCUREMENT

FEBC requests shop drawingsfrom the selected suppliers forClient and designer approval.Together they consider savingswhich maintain both operatorquality standards and the designintent, agree on modifications tospecifications and/or alternatives,and identify critical long lead timeitems. Purchasing priorities arethen established and FEBCchecks that all the terms of tender,warranties, fire and safety codesmeet Client’s requirements. Itfollows through regular budgetanalyses in progress reports.

PROCUREMENT

On FEBC’s advice the Clientissues purchase orders and issuesof Letters of Credit to suppliers. Avisit program to suppliers with thepurpose of monitoring quality andprogress is undertaken. Goods areinspected once again prior topacking and shipment: FEBC thenselects shippers, forwardingagents, insurers, custom agents,carriers and warehousing facilitieson the Client’s behalf. It ensuresthat all customs documentation iscorrect and engages installationspecialists.

In this last stage, FEBC ensures that installation iscompleted to the Client’s, designer’s and operator’ssatisfaction; assesses all invoices against purchaseorders, and recommends payment to the Client. Wethen provide the operator with manuals, warranties,flame retardant certificates, service agreements,etc., and strikes a final budget analysis plus reportsbottom line savings to the Client.

Budget & Cost PlanningYour bespoke OS&E Procurement Budget and CostPlan is designed during the initial planning process.Involving the client, operator and other key parties, theaim of Budget Planning is to fully understand andforecast the scope of your project. Included in the costplan is a timetable for production and delivery, and anumber of cost-saving initiatives. Because more than80% of our procurement recommendations are directwith the manufacturer, there is no middleman and yourpayment is made direct to the supplier. The Budgetand Cost Plan will also ensure that all steps in theOS&E procurement process focus on securing you thehighest possible quality at the lowest possible price.

OS&E PROCUREMENT

Interior StylingWith a proven understanding of creativeobjectives, our interior styling specialists areexperts at sourcing function thatcomplements style. Working together withdesigner, operator and owner, our interiorstyling services focus the OS&Eprocurement process on delivering qualityproducts that match design intent.

We will guide you through the four key stages in the OS&E procurement process:


Procurement Management Once a purchasing policy and delivery timetable is agreed, weutilize our trusted global network of suppliers to identify suitablesupply sources. We then begin to negotiate the best possibleconditions on your behalf. The next stage in the procurementprocess is establishing purchasing priorities, following which ourprocurement managers conduct a number of checks to ensurethe terms of tender, warranties and safety certifications are allmet. Once quality assurance of finished goods has beenascertained through a series of factory visits and goodsinspections, our consultants oversee the final procurementstages; shipping, delivery and handover.

OS&E PROCUREMENT

Delivery and HandoverWe are responsible for the smooth and timelydelivery of all OS&E goods from the factory toyour project site. With vast experience selectingtrusted shipping companies, checking invoicesagainst purchase orders and the preparation ofduty and customs forms, FEBC takes great pridein ensuring your investment is delivered exactlyas and when expected. During the handoverprocess FEBC engages installation specialistsand conducts extensive testing to make certainthat equipment meets the client’s and operator’sstandards. Only following this is all relevantsafety and warranty documentation handed over.
