MODERN COLLABORATION CHALLENGES
Any business that has multiple meeting rooms, offices and buildings will be presented with internal communication challenges caused by inconsistent AV and collaboration technologies. Even more difficult is business-to-business communication. This lack of interoperability between different collaboration technologies makes it difficult to communicate effectively, meet deadlines and run productive meetings. For most companies it is not an option to remove existing infrastructure and start again, therefore another solution is needed.
Companies that have a need for inter-company videoconferencing have typically bridged the gap and invested in what has been expensive and complex infrastructure (Gateways and Multi-point Central Units). Alternatively, a scheduled conferencing service or Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) is used to overcome interoperability problems.
Virtual Meeting Rooms A Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) provides a permanently available virtual conference space, it has a virtual address in the form of a URI (Uniform Resource Identifier), formatted just like an email address. VMR is a simple and easy way to meet on video or audio, and in which you can share presentations and collaborate. It is always available and always accessible for ad-hoc or scheduled meetings. And, because it is a static resource with a unique name and address, it is easy to invite people to it. You can access a VMR from nearly any type of device - a videoconferencing system, using a web browser, through Microsoft’s Lync, Skype or Skype for Business, a smartphone, tablet or a regular phone, and in many other ways.

Cloud Based Videoconferencing Even though bridging, in whatever form it takes, allows for interoperability and business-to-business video meetings, challenges can still remain. MANAGED SERVICES Remote MonitoringElectrosonic’s ESCAN Remote Monitoring Service offers 24x7 real time monitoring of your audio-visual systems. It constantly evaluates the health and performance of your AV technologies whilst providing us with critical alerts and configuration data to enable faster troubleshooting. ESCAN allows you to focus on your day-to-day operations without worrying about system reliability.
Electrosonic will work hand in hand with your IT staff to ensure secure data transfer between your facility and our Service Operations Centre (SOC). An outbound network connection is made from the ESCAN Gateway device on your AV network to the Electrosonic SOC. This connection is made using an encrypted VPN and the IT industry standard SSl protocol.
