fied•Renovators and dust sampling technicians must be trained and certified•Non-certified work-ers must work under and be trained on-the-job by a Certified

Renovator•Work practices must be followed for work covered by the rule•Renovators must educate own-ers/occupants

Successfully completing this course

WHY DO YOU NEED RRP TRAINING?

The traditional renovation work you do can create significant dust-lead hazards if lead-based paint is disturbed. The leaded dust gen-erated by traditional renovation work can cause lead poisoning in children, pregnant women, your-self, your co-workers, even pets! Practical changes in work practic-es can minimize and contain dust. By using lead-safe work practices, you are making your job safer and

reducing your liability exposure.

The EPA’s new Renovation, Repair and Painting Final Rule (40 CFR 745) requires that renovations conducted for compensation must be performed by Certified Firms ONLY. Companies and individuals that wish to become a Certified Renovator must successfully com-plete an EPA-accredited renovator course. Global Environmental Net-

work, Inc. is one of the few training providers in the State of California authorized to provide this train-ing.
