Why are we here?
In response to DepED Order No.45 s.2009Institutionalization of Personal Safety Lessons (PSL)
in Basic Education
basic awareness on gender sensitivity
deeper understanding of the rights of women and children
reflect on issues and concerns relative to Violence Against Women and Child Abuse
discuss personal safety lessons and integration in Sibika and Kultura
design GAD and PSL programs that respond to the MDGs
Integration is making connections
Integration may be done in some or all learning areas
Integration doesn’t have to be forced
Teacher has to exercise high level of creativity to be able to integrate “with fluidity” (smooth-flowing)
