Did God tell us what kind of food to eat when we’re fasting ?OR did the church make it up ?

1) “Also take for yourself wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt; put them into one vessel, and make bread of them for yourself. “ (Ezekiel 4:9)

2) “Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.” (Daniel 1:12)

Why do we have to fast 43 days before Christmas?

40 like Moses fasted before getting the 10 commandments.3 like when the Christians fasted when the mountain of mokattam moved.
