BEN SAUCY Ukraine- OM

Ben just completed his third year at Biola University. His major has remained Intercultural studies, with an emphasis in International Development and a minor in Business Administration. As a part of his major, Ben is required to do a 6-8 week cross-cultural internship. Within this requirement, he has a

choice of country, organization and what he would like to do for his internship. Through a series of events and Ben’s interaction with influential people in his life, the Lord led him to officially commit to an internship working with Operation Mobilization in Odessa, Ukraine. Ben is excited and thankful for the opportunity to spend over 8 weeks in the country he spent most of his childhood in. Through this internship, he will also have the opportunity to practice all of his passions which include business, working with children, sport ministry and the use of the Russian language. He will be stationed at a summer camp doing anything from teaching English, translating, camp counselor, leading sport clinic and preaching. The kids attending the camp will primarily be orphaned or disabled boys. Furthermore, Ben hopes to work with a transformational development organization while practicing his Russian. Ben left for Ukraine on Thursday. In a recent update he wrote… “I just wanted to let you all know how extremely thankful I am for all your support, whether it be financial or through prayer. It has definitely been a journey getting to this point and I couldn't have done it without you all. I am fully funded for the trip, in fact I am 160% funded. Praise God!” Continue to pray for Ben for the following requests:

• Safe travels back and forth between Odessa and Kiev.

• For his own heart as he ministers to orphans, disabled kids and kids at risk.

• For the ears of the kids that they would be open to the saving message of the Gospel.

• For the various teams that will be volunteering, that they would do what the Lord has put on their hearts.

Welcome- If you are a guest today we thank you for coming. We would

appreciate it if you would complete a yellow card from the pew rack. As our guest, please do not feel obligated to put something in the offering.

THE FLOWERS THIS MORNING are given by Bob & Meade DeKlotz as they “rejoice in God's blessings of 59 years together.”
