The exciting new MFR 2100 MicroFourier Rheometer has redefined thestate-of-the-art in rheologicalanalysis.

This groundbreaking product willrevolutionize the traditionalrheometer market due to thesignificant benefits offered by itsability to analyse very small volumesand perform analyses across a widefrequency range in seconds.

While traditional rheometers use atwisting motion at a single frequency,

samples that are curing or changingwith time are required.

Traditional rheometers also requirelarge volumes of sample. The MFR2100 can perform analyses onvolumes as small as 100 µL or lowerhence analyses on precious samplescan be performed. The automatedsample introduction system enablessample introduction and subsequentcleaning in seconds.

settings to suit. The live data signals,being the Displacement of the topplate and the resulting Force upon thebottom plate permit an immediatequalitative view of a samples'rheological properties.

The two live data signals can beplotted against each other as well asa "Lissajous" figure. This figuredisplays an immediate qualitativemeasure of phase shift, which isimportant in determining theproportions of the elastic and viscousmoduli.

The Displacement may vary as asinusoid, saw-tooth or square wave,over a variety of frequencies. Mostimportant of all, the instrumentsupports pseudo-random noise - asummation of sinusoids over manyfrequencies.

2100 is incredibly easy to use.

Gap setting is computer controlled

from 0.6µm to ~30mm with an

incredible resolution of 0.625 µm.

This is critical when measuring the

rheological properties of samples

approaching the viscosity of water.

The sample introduction plate is

computer controlled into the load

position. The sample is placed on the

plate and then set into the sample

analysis mode.

Within seconds the analysis is

complete. The plate is then moved

into the load position, cleaned and a

new sample loaded. As no cups are

used sample cleaning takes seconds.
