Project CR at Matab-ang is nearing
its completion!
" P u p p i e s f o r s a l e "A farmer had some puppies
heneeded to sell. He painted a signadvertising the pups and set
itabout, nailing it to a post on theedge of his yard. As he was
drivingthe last nail into the post, he felt atug on his overalls.
He looked downinto the Eyes of a little boy.
Mister, he said, I want to buy oneof your puppies. Well, said
thefarmer, as he rubbed the sweat othe back of his neck, these
puppiescome from ine parents and cost agood deal of money.
The boy dropped his head for amoment. Then reaching deep intohis
pocket, he pulled out a handfulof change and held it up to
thefarmer. Ive got thirty-nine cents.Is that enough to take a
look?
Sure, said the farmer.
And with that he let out a whistle,Here, Dolly! he called.
Out from the doghouse and down theramp ran Dolly followed by
four littleballs of fur. The little boy pressed hisface against the
chain link fence. Hiseyes danced with delight.
As the dogs made their way tothe fence, the little boy
noticedsomething else stirring inside thedoghouse. Slowly another
littleball appeared; this One noticeablysmaller. Down the ramp it
slid. Thenin a somewhat awkward mannerthe little pup began
hobblingtoward the others, doing its bestto catch up. I want that
one, thelittle boy said, pointing to therunt.
The farmer knelt down at theboys side and said, Son, you
dont want that puppy. He willnever be able to run and playwith
you like these other dogswould. With that the little boystepped
back from the fence,reached down, and beganrolling up one leg of
his trousers.In doing so he revealed a steel
brace running down both sidesof his leg attaching itself To
aspecially made shoe. Lookingback up at the farmer, he said,You see
sir, I dont run toowell myself, and he will needSomeone who
understands.
MATAB-ANG MissionFor this month, we opened ourweekly gathering
at Matab-ang withanother fun-lled Sunday. PastorJB shared about
Hope and ourfamily there was really blessed!
PROJECT CRLast Wednesday, the teamcontinued construction of
the
Project CR at Matab-ang, and now the facility is fully
functional! Thedoors are already secured and allwe need now are
some covers at the upper portion and ceiling. Weare almost there
and we would liketo thank everyone who supported!
Bubog MissionAfter Brgy. Matab-ang, the nextbarangay to conquer
is Brgy. Bubog.Last Sunday, Pastor JB and Mikhailwent to the site
to coordinate withour young people there. Were soexcited for this
new site!
Sagay MissionThe School of Leaders Batch 3 alsowent to Sagay for
a mission! Moredetails about the trip next week.
