BeeSocials is an online marketplace platform connecting you to social events happening in HOMES around you. The simplest explanation of what BeeSocials is to think of it as the ‘AirBnB of events’. Instead of letting strangers sleep on your couch, invite them over for a fun event like a party, dinner or other social event. The potential for growth is huge as the market for this is enormous, with a gap for such a platform to take a large chunk out of it. In the UK alone, £1+ billion meals are served in pubs and bars[2], which even at a conservative £20 a meal is a market alone worth £20+ billion. Currently there are 4 Million monthly RSVPS on meetup [2]. This market, using just one such website, is worth over £720 million! BeeSocials is targeting the casual and convenient dining and drinking social lifestyle and going further to embrace the sharing economy in providing new experiences. The market breakdown and detailed calculations are explained later in this document.

INTRODUCTION

Just imagine being able to walk down the street to someone’s home where you can join a

party, learn to cook, enjoy an authentic meal in your favourite cuisine or simply grab a few

beers and play computer games with new people.

Do all of these things that you love without having to travel for miles or compromise your

social life and meet amazing and interesting new people who share the same interest as

you.

The social and entertainment market is ever growing, even remaining strong throughout the

recession. People are willing to make cuts in various areas of their expenditure, but their

need to go out and socialise, unwind and indulge remains strong. Maybe this is down to the

long hard wired need for connection in human beings, or maybe it’s down to various other

factors, but the fact remains that we enjoy “going out and meeting new people”. However,

in major cities with the fast paced lifestyle and the “hustle and bustle” of everyday

commitments, people have less and less time to do the things they really love.

This is where BeeSocials comes in, providing a super easy way to do the things you love and

meet new people who share the same interests as you do. BeeSocials connects guests and

hosts on a platform that allows you to socialise and do the things you love whilst saving

money (guests) and making money (hosts).

The platform enables the hosts to create and manage events, including payment processing

and e-ticket generation. It allows the guests to easily search for events by distance and filter

by their interests to find a unique event happening locally.

BEE will be the central utility token of the platform and the ONLY cryptocurrency that will be

accepted. This will mean, anyone can travel to any country and make use of the services,

whether that is to host and make money or other services as a guest, all without having to

rely on the traditional banking systems. Thus enabling and empowering a true global events

and entertainment services business.

Our long term vision is to bring communities together, make them stronger and more open

to newcomers. Anyone visiting or migrating to a new country or city should be able to feel

at home instantly. We strongly feel that if our communities were stronger, closer, and more

open and connected, the world truly be a better place.

THE PROBLEM

There are millions of event organisers around the world who host supper clubs and other

social events but they go through a lot of effort and use various methods such as social

media and a number of websites to advertise and sell tickets. There is a real need for a

platform to bring together these event hosts and the millions of guests looking for new fun

and interesting events in their local cities and the cities they travel to. We have defined the

main pain points below, at a glance they are:

Hosts perspective:

Need to create their own website

Need to advertise on Facebook groups and other social media

Expensive to list tickets as competitors charge 20% or more commission

No engaging community for repeat guests/customers

Current solutions only focus on public venue meetups

No single platform exists to take care of: Advertising, ticketing and payment

processing

Guest perspective

No single platform to find unique local experiences

Difficult to make local friends in a new country

Events concentrated in large city centres rather than their local area

Expensive food and drink cost in public venues

Travel cost, hassle and time wasted travelling to events

Noisy environments and not personable enough to meet people

Culture

There is also a culture problem, in some of the major cities such as London, which our

research suggests is a lot more evident to outsiders than local people. This isn’t necessarily

one that is actively and consciously represented but one that is just ingrained and

unintentional in London. Londoners find it difficult to be open, and usually keep to their

circle of friends rather than being open to meet new people. For example, it is considered

abnormal to speak to people on the underground/metro and people outside on the street,

unless it’s for the purpose of asking for directions. We are on a mission to changes this, and

make the world more open and welcoming, starting with London.

MARKET

The sharing economy has exploded in recent years seeing an unprecedented level of growth

and a number of businesses flourishing in this space. The UK is cited as being the centre of

the sharing economy, being viewed very favourably by the UK government who have setup

a trade body(SEUK) to support and empower this sector [3][4]. The Sharing Economy is

growing faster than Facebook, Google and Yahoo combined, valued at $15 billion in its first

7 years compared to the combined growth of Facebook, Google and Yahoo of $11 billion [5]

The BeeSocials platform will disrupt a number of industries on its way to realising our

ambitious dream of bringing people together, allowing people to belong anywhere and

being the first platform you turn to for socialising and meeting new people anywhere in the

world.

Below we look at each of the markets to give a brief overview of the sheer size and scope

for scalability of the platform to cover the UK market, and future global expansion.

SOCIAL EVENTS

This market is huge, both in the UK and globally. Focussing on the UK population of around

65m alone shows that 1b+ millions meals are served in bars annually and 8/10 meals are

eaten away from home [1]. Dinner parties and supper clubs are becoming a popular

alternative to traditional restaurant meals and BeeSocials is in the process of on-boarding

supper club hosts to the platform.

In the 5 years to 2015, the UK nightclub admission decreased 23% and Meetup.com

members increased by a whopping 77% [2]. There are also 46.6M RSVPS a year on

meetup.com alone. This shows people are already using alternative methods of meeting

people.

TARGET AUDIENCE

We will look at 3 main demographics within the social events space.

Expatriates and Travellers – Open to making new friends, and put in considerable effort

doing so, using social networking sites and meetup groups. BeeSocials would consolidate

this audience in one place to make it easier for them to meet new people. So far, in the

events I have held at my flat, I have found expats and travellers to makeup the biggest

percentage of guests.

Students/Millennials - I believe this would also bit a big market segment as students and

millennials are the first to embrace new social networking services. There were 2.28 million

University students in 2015/2016.

Students have a limited amount of surplus income but large amount of free time. They

generally spend the majority of it on “going out” and socialising. We provide a cost-effective

way to make the most of their time and budget, to go out and socialise. It also creates an

additional revenue stream for students who host events.

City professionals 18-40 – They have limited free time, so they like to use it efficiently, and

BeeSocials would provide them with an alternative to the usual pubs and bars. People can

use their dinner time to socialise and save on time spent shopping and cooking.

WORK FROM HOME/SELF EMPLOYED

This is another major market which is growing now faster than ever, as more and more

people choose to opt for the flexible lifestyle of being self-employed and working from

home. BeeSocials platform will enable tutors, fitness and lifestyle coaches and anyone with

a particular skill who wishes to share it with others earn a living from it by listing their social

courses on the platform.

This is a great option for people working from home, to be able to share their space and

network with other freelancers. Co-working spaces have become increasingly popular due

to its flexibility and cost saving benefits over a permanent office space. Hosts can open up

their space to others and create local co working spaces where like-minded individuals can

collaborate and learn from each other.

VENUE HIRE

It can be difficult to find space to host an event and public venues can be restrictive and

expensive to hire out. At the same time, there are many people who have unused space

they own in their properties. The platform will make it easy and affordable for anyone to let

out their free space to someone who wishes to hold an event for any occasion.

SERVICES

We will have an online marketplace section where vendors will be able to advertise their

services. These may include, but not limited to photography, cleaning or specialist

entertainment equipment and hosts. So if a host required a DJ, mixologist, photographer or

a cleaner for their event, they will be able to directly request these services and pay for

them with BEE Tokens.

TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION

WEB PLATFORM

A beautifully easy to use and secure online platform, a complete end to end solution for

hosts and guests providing a pleasant customer journey and allowing them to connect with

each other in safe environments. The web platform will be further supplemented by mobile

applications. We already have an MVP online (http://www.beesocials.com/), but we’re

looking to completely re-develop this along with the mobile solutions described below.

HOW IT WORKS

Below is an infographic which demonstrates the BeeSocials concept, and further down is a simplified use case

seen from an end user perspective, both hosts and guests.

GUESTS

Guests will be able to quickly and easily, find and book events they like within 60 seconds!

Our unique intelligent algorithm will provide recommendations on events they may enjoy. If

they prefer however, they can easily search based on geo-location, interests or particular

hosts. The diagrams below show just how simple the customer journey will be for our end

users.

HOSTS

We understand hosts will want to feel comfortable with who they invite in, so we give total

control to the hosts to select/approve attendees. A personalised dashboard gives total

control to easily manage guest’s requests, communication and confirmed attendance. Easily

review all guest information such as feedback and verification levels in the dashboard

before accepting requests.

SECURITY AND WELFARE

Security is at the heart of it all, with Facebook and LinkedIn integration as well as ID

verification for all guests and hosts using the service. The location of the events is secret.

When a host creates an event their home address is not viewable to the general public, and

only revealed to confirmed guests via e-ticket. We understand security and privacy of data is

important to our users and we intend to dedicate resources and time to ensure our security

is of the highest level as only then can we keep the confidence and trust of our users.

ID verification documentation will be secured stored by the platform and will not be

accessible to any users; they will simply see a mark on users profiles pages to state the level

of verification they have gone through

Insurance

To give complete peace of mind to hosts who share their space and welcome people into

their homes we intend to provide liability insurance as standard for hosts and landlords so

your space and belongings are covered.

CONTROL

Hosts are in total control as to who they accept at their events. Guests browse and choose

events that they wish to attend. They click the “Request Invite” button on an event and this

gives the host a notification of interest from which they decide if they wish for the guest to

attend or not. The host is likely to review the feedback, and verification level of the guest

before making their decision.

The host will be able to easily manager their event requests from the internal dashboard,

which will display all required information per user request. Each request they select, will

display the following information directly below the request:

- Date of registration

- User feedback

- Verification level

- Shared connections

EVENTS

We want to simplify the guest journey, from the moment they arrive onto the site to finding

an event they like and we aim to do this with a super easy and highly intuitive web and

mobile interface. We feel this is really important and from personal experience we’ve all

been put off by websites with complicated and confusing user interfaces.

Intelligent algorithm

Our unique intelligent algorithm will recommend events specifically tailored to individual

users. This will be based on their key interests, past events, travel preferences and other

data they voluntarily provide. The more information we have about a user, the more

relevant the recommendations will be.

Location based

Making use of geolocation, we will be able recommend events in the local area, based on

the distance a user selects. Further filters will allow users to easily narrow down their

search. We also plan to have a feature giving users to show their location so people can see

if their friends are attending any events nearby they would like to join.

Categories

Hosts will have the ability to select multiple categories when they list the event and Users

will have the option to also browse by category to explore events they may like.

FEEDBACK/REVIEW

The feedback/review system will be in place to allow hosts/guests to leave feedback after

each event they attend. Even in this technologically advanced world, this simple

methodology still serves to be one of the best ways to distinguish the level of services or a

person’s character and is widely used in the world biggest marketplace organisations such

as Ebay and AirBnB.

Both hosts and guests will have 14 days from the event date to leave a review. The reviews

will stay hidden form each other until either both parties have left a review or until the end

of the 14 day period.

The reviews will be twofold, one of a rating from 1-5 stars on various criteria such as

cleanliness, friendliness, accuracy of description and choice and quality of food and drink

available. The criteria will of course vary slightly and it will be relevant to guest/host

reviews. The second part will be a free format text box for users to leave additional

comments and more details about their experience.

Transaction transparency

We plan to leverage Blockchain technology for accounting and transaction transparency.

The feedback system explained above will be linked to the transactions, to provide complete

transparency to the community to build trust. Furthermore it will also aid in claims/disputes

handling and resolution as anyone can view the transactions and linked feedback.

MOBILE APPLICATIONS

The online platform will be supplemented with an Android and an iOS mobile application

with all of the key features available to the platform. Hosts will have the ability to list and

manage their listings online and guests will have the ability to carry out geolocation based

searches to discover events happening in real time around them. They can instantly request

to book an event and pay.

Users can also pre-book events before they travel to a new country or city, so they have

their week planned out before they even arrive.

BEE UTILITY TOKENS

BEE tokens will be central to the platform with a multitude of use cases involved helping to

make it a secure, transparent and cost effective solution for our users.

Token Economics

BEE tokens will be used for all transactions within the platform, including events

tickets and other services advertised by vendors.

Users will be able to ‘tip’ hosts with the BEE token only

Fiat transactions charged at 15%, encouraging users to buy BEE token with only 2%

fee to cover services such as escrow. This will in turn increases demand for the BEE

token

We also intend to burn 25% of all BEE tokens used within the platform, creating

scarcity of the token and increasing the value. We will continue doing this until the

circulating supply is halved to 50 million.

Tokens will be used for event marketing. Hosts will assign a certain portion of tokens

for promoting their event. Potential guests will then be rewarded for sharing an

event on their social media with their friends, if they were to buy a ticket.

Fiat currency

As we are aiming for rapid global expansion and we understand that the majority of our user

base may be unfamiliar with the cryptocurrency world, we will also accept fiat currency and

third party payment gateways such as PayPal.

GROWING THE CRYPTO COMMUNITY

We believe in crypto currency and all the good that it brings to the world; we feel it should

be and will be adopted at a quicker pace in the coming years. However currently this is not

the case and anyone new to the crypto currency world faces a steep learning curve and

many obstacles in the way before they can get their hands on some. They need to register

on exchanges, go through SEPA transfers or engage in a trade with a stranger on websites

like LBC. These can be daunting for your everyday person, not to mention the fees and

mark-ups charged compared to the actual price of the currency.

BeeSocials solves this problem, by naturally introducing the user to cryptocurrency as a by-

product of the services they use on our platforms. The trust element is taken away as

registered users on the platform will be verified via Facebook and official government

identification such as a passport or driving licence.

REWARD PROGRAMME

We aim to rewards both hosts and guests as part of our early growth strategy, and therefore

we will put in place a loyalty scheme for our users. We will reward hosts based on the

number of events they hold and we will reward guests based on the number of events they

attend.

CROWD SALE

PRE-SALE

The pre-sale will start on November 25th 2017. The presale will last for a period of 4 weeks,

ending on December 23rd 2017. The total supply of BEE coins will be 100,000,000 and no

more will ever be minted. The exchange and bonus structure is defined below, with early

contributors being rewarded the most.

Minimum required: 1000ETH

Should we not reach our funding goal, the have a realistic lower minimum will allow us to

build out our platform and on board initial users. Once we have proven some traction with

sale to continue the build and expansion of our platform. Any contributors who have taken

part in this ICO will have exclusive early access to contribute in this second ICO.

ICO

The ICO will begin on, January 6th 2018 and run for a period of 4 weeks, ending on February

3rd 2018. We strongly advise, if you are interested in the project, you should contribute

early to receive the best price. After all, as the old saying goes, the profit is indeed made

on the purchase and not the sale.

Contributor protection

If the ICO does not meet the minimum amount required 1000ETH, 100% of the funds

contributed will be refunded, minus any gas.

USE OF FUNDS

The funds raised from the crowd sale will be used for development, marketing, legal,

business development and reserve as illustrated below. As you can see from the below

chart, the majority of funds will be allocated to marketing, as this is where the main focus

will be to drive growth and uptake of the platform.

Reserve funds

We will be setting aside 15% of the BEE tokens from the crowd sale as reserve/contingency

planning. This will ensure we have access to capital in future if required either for expansion

or to cover other business related costs in any areas shown on the chart above.

BEE TOKEN HOLDER BENEFITS

Token holders will be able to take advantage of the reduced platform service fee of just 2%

on all transactions, which will be significantly lower than if paying by fiat currency (15%).

This will naturally drive up the demand for BEE token, as it gives the biggest incentive for all

platform users and a no brainer to use BEE tokens over fiat currency. We are also planning

on rewarding the top 100 contributors in the pre-sale and ICO (100 in total) with a VIP status

which will allow them special privileges such as free events from time to time, which may

include invitations to company events we host to share our milestone celebrations.

Minimum risk, maximum rewards, flexible exit.

We really appreciate your support in helping us to make our project a success and therefore

we want to give you options, flexibility and control over your contribution. For this reason,

short term token holders can sell their token on the exchange, and longer term token

holders will have the options of using their tokens on the platform in exchange of services

available. We will also introduce a BEE voucher program whereby you may exchange your

bee tokens for voucher codes that can be used to deposit into your BeeSocials account as

credit. This is to give you an earlier opportunity to cash in on your tokens and not have to

wait for the full integration of the BEE token payment system. This also applies, if we are

unable to raise the full amount required to fully integrate this part of the platform within

the targeted timeframe.
