7/23/2019 White Winged Fairy Wren
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/white-winged-fairy-wren 1/1
My common name is a White-winged Fairy-
wren,
If you are clever try my scientific name: Malurus
leucopterus!
I have striking colours: black, white, grey and
blue
And I like eating insects; especially delicious
beetles and yummy spiders!
My small size allows my species to build a nest in
dense, thorny bush
It is tiny, only 10cm x 6cm with a secret side
entrance!
My clutch is 2-4 eggs with an incubation time of
at least 24 days.
If you want to help me survive please do not
clear the native vegetation in the Mallee region.
