A superb experience to feel amazing freshness of clear water. You walk through the narrow valley through, under and over streams, easy rock climbing is included. You go through tunnels (both above and under water), dive, and go behind small falls for meditation (why not?). After 1h walk, you reach the climax - a waterfall of 21m vertical drop! Dive into the water, walk underwater holding rocks and observe fish, or climb the waterfall, and etc. Open: June through Sept, on rendez-vous at 9h30 or 13h. Duration: 3 hours round trip, including transfer and walking access. Difficulty: easy Fee: 5000Yen including guiding, equipment rental and insurance. Possible from 2 people upon reservation. Transportation to Maze not included (by car, 30min from Gero-spa, 15min from Hagiwara JR station)

Access to MazeOption: Canyoning (waterfall adventure)This program is on the experimental stage and is not for everyone. In the upper part of the Maze river, there is a waterfall of vertical drop 15m. You can descend against the rock face, next to the water, while being assured by a special rope. The guide is next to you for security. You can climb the same waterfall, again being assured by a rope. Though this will be a fantastic experience, insurance cannot be applied. If interested, please contact our office for conditions.
