Our DBA service is a service provided remotely over a secure network connection. With the advancement in remote network connection technology, it is no longer required that a DBA should be present onsite to perform the administration. Innovise will manage the Databases using standard tools like Remote Desktop, Spotlight on Oracle and VNC.

Along with saving cost, Remote DBA has various advantages over a full time DBA. Via our Oracle remote DBA services, we'll handle proactive maintenance, monitoring, and responding to your database system alerts so that you can focus on what it takes to grow your business. Tuning Reports Innovise uses the latest available tools to perform proactive tuning for the Oracle database. We keep a history of performance statistics, which helps in identifying gradual or sudden performance degradation.

Trend Reports The trend reports can be used to establish the baseline signature for the database. From this signature, exception reports will identify abnormal conditions. Trend reports can be created for all major areas of the Oracle database including I/O, memory usage, CPU consumption and Oracle internal metrics.

Capacity Planning Reports These reports can provide the in-house manager with summary information from the prior week's activity. Weekly statistics reports show the total growth for the week and show all object activity within Oracle.

Automated Oracle Alerts We set alerts for various events in a database for instance, database down, ORA-600 error or backup failure. These alerts trigger an email or text message to the members of the DBA team for immediate consideration. Since the alert is sent to whole team, it reduces the chances of a message being missed.

RDBA MANAGEMENT OPTIONS There are three service levels for RDBA as there are with our standard Application Management Support. They are the Gold, Silver and Bronze, which are summarised below.

Bronze

• On Call standard working hours 09:00 –17:30, Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)

• Access to Oracle consultants

• All work undertaken on a T & M basis at an agreed preferential rate

• Annual 1 day Audit Consultancy This option will provide preferential rates for consultancy and 1 day’s free audit but it requires you to pay for support calls and will probably needs some internal support. Silver

• On Call extended working hours 8:00 – 18:30, Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)

• Agreed Pro-active checks

• Full Service Level Agreement on calls and all responses

• Access to Oracle consultants

• All work undertaken on a T & M basis at an agreed preferential rate

• Annual 1 day Audit Consultancy

This will provide preferential rates for consultancy but will still require some support call payments and some limited existing internal infrastructure. Gold*

• On Call 12 hours a day 07:00 – 19:00 Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)

• Full Pro-active Management

• Full Service Level Agreements on all calls and Responses

• Three Monthly and then Quarterly Account Management review meetings

• Dedicated access to Oracle consultants

• All work undertaken for support (as defined in the SMM) included in the price

• Annual Disaster Recovery Simulation

• Annual 1 day audit *All support is inclusive (as defined in the SMM) nothing else to pay in relation to support calls for the life of the contract. These options do have some flexibility where for example a customer would like the Silver option because of the service level agreement but does not require the extended out of hours support.
